  • A Dream Come True

    Saturday, Feb 11, 2012 5:03PM / Members only

Last night I got to cross off something from my bucket list, and it was a big one.  I saw  Andrea Bocelli live at The Frank Erwin Center in Austin TX.  It was absolutely amazing!!! I cried so many times.  I thanked God so many times and offered much praise.  I prayed that every single person in that building and all our families be blessed.  So many things went right for me that day.  Every little worry I had was taken care of, so that I had a pretty perfect day and an incredible night.  The memory of  it will be with me forever. It always amazes me that God takes the time to help me through any situation I may find myself in and He always takes care of any little problem or fear that weighs on my mind. With all that He must take care of, and still He always remembers me.  Oh but I am blessed. Thank You my Father....All my Love.

I am in love.  A smile that  can brighten my darkest days, A laugh that can always make me laugh no matter my mood.  Such intelligence, I'm amazed every day.  Golden hair, light brown eyes with flecks of green, and beautiful fair skin, and I know that as much as I love,  I am loved in return.  How to thank god for such a gift.  To write him A symphony, a never ending sonnet, a poem a day for the rest of my life wouldn't be enough.  I think instead I'll introduce her , my baby Layla, the love of my life, my niece, to God. I'll make sure she knows how much he loves her and teach her his word.  I'll cherish every single second of my time with her.  I promise to do my part as her aunt to raise her to be a good, kind, and giving person.  Maybe then I'll get close.  :)  ahhhhh I am in love......

  • Her Legacy

    Friday, May 21, 2010 1:00PM / Members only

on the morning of May 7th I woke up to the news  that my grandmother had passed away.  She was 96 years old. She was the first person that showed me how powerful prayer is. I respected her very much, and I loved  her  with all my heart.  I was lucky enough to spend many days with her.  For a while I helped my aunts to care for her and i got to know her little habits and the things she liked. There were many times I would quietly listen as she prayed....I felt so safe and peaceful.  I knew even then how blessed I was to be there.   I remember at her funeral as I sat there crying, I looked around at all the different people that had come to pay their last repects and I realized how amazing my grandma was.  She  wasn't rich or famous......but she was a mother.  She was a great mother,  who with out much in the way of money,  raised 11 children,  who all had children of their own and many of them now have children too, and every single one of us loved and respected her very much, and she loved us too.  She prayed for all of us every single day.  That's what she left us with... her undying love and her unwavering faith.  I could not ask for more. Goodbye grandma....I love you.

Today I was the last one to get out of bed. Every body was in the kitchen eating, talking, and laughing.  I just layed there quietly listening.  Suddenly I was filled with such a warm feeling of love, and i realized just how lucky i am to spend my days with such amazing people.  God is Great.  I am Blessed.  Happy Easter.
