I and the main actor in Yip Man, 樊少皇 FanJin Shan Zhao, we took part in a show on BTV and talked about the influence of wushu in movies.
I had a role in this movie playing a boxer. This movie was shot in Guangdong, Junan province, the hometown of Bruce Lee. It was a great experience and I was able to work with Mr. Yi Yong who is one of the best fight choreographers in China.
As an actor, I recently had a role in the movie Legendary Amazons produced by Jackie Chan, and directed by Frankie Chan. It is a Chinese traditional movie set in the Song dynasty. During this period China and East Africa already had a business and culture relationship, which is why I appear in this movie. The movie has an ensemble of the best chinese actresses, and it was a good opportunity for me to learn about what happened during that period in history.
I was invited by the China-Africa Organization to take part in a forum in Hainan. During the Shanghai World Expo, I was an ambassidor in the African Pavillion to promote African culture. Every two years I organize some events between China and Africa, and this year, there are a lot of events coming up. That is why I went to this forum, to setup this year's events. A lot of VIP came to attend.
I was invited, as a cordinator for the China-Africa Culture Exchange Business Association, to take part in China International Radio's event anouncing a new radio program. Listeners can tune into the radio station using their cell phones, and the programs will be broadcast on schedules set to their local time. The program features news, sports, movies, culture, business, and other topics so listeners can learn about things happening in China.
The 11th world wushu championship was held last year in Turkey. It was organized well and more than 86 countries participated in the event. During that time, we also organized the African wushu meeting. I was nominated as the IWUF traditional committee vice-chairman. There is a lot of work ahead in promoting Chinese wushu in Africa. As vice-chairman of the tradtional committee, the IWUF and the Chinese Wushu Association will continue to promote relations between China and Africa wushu communities.
To let the chinese students know more about African culture, China-Africa magazine organized the first of a series of African culture events. The first event was held at Beijing Business University. In the future events will be held at Tsing Hua, Beijing university, and others outside Beijing.
During the events, we introduce African fashion, dance, and music. As for myself, I was in charge in showcasing the development of African movies in China, and movie festivals featuring African movies in Africa...Read more
I took part in the High-Level Symposium on China-Africa investment held in Xiamen, Fujian. The Minister of Economics gave a speach during the forum to encourage both parties to cooperate more in business and cultural exchange. During the meeting I represented the China-Africa n.g.o. Cultural Exchange & Business Association.
