  • From The Distance

I noticed I've been listening to Faye Wong's Eyes on Me. Those days when Sis and I were going head over heels for Squall Leonhart and his gunblade and the very cool Lionheart.

Back to me, what's been happening to me lately, how I've been feeling lately, what I'm up to lately etc. I've been lazy! When I first discovered mascara, which was 2 months ago, I wouldn't leave the condo for college without them. And now, 2 months later, I actually walk to college wearing what Jean calls my pyjama with my Form 5 bag.

I know, I should really spend an extra 2 minutes in the morning to comb my hair. And to make sure I do not wear my oversized tees to college. I promise to not embarrass Sandakan and the Hakka clan.

Anyway! Backstreet Boys were here, performing live at Sunway Lagoon! A really big fan of Nick Carter once upon a time. Notice in the picture below, the stage with marvelous blue lights taken from the balcony of the condo.

And guess what? Before the event, there was actually a helicopter circling the area! I assume it's for BSB. Notice the tiny black object in the picture below.

I promise to make use of my camera soon. But cell phone camera is way too convenient! Can't help it, can't help it.

Something random, "fat people are harder to kidnap."

Something even more random, my breakfast from San Francisco Coffee.

We now hang out alot behind the coffee shop. Jean and I would still be miserable souls who tapau food to eat at home if not for our new friends, Natalie, Sarah and Stephanie! They're all from Sarawak which makes us all neightbours.

Later that Saturday, we set out for Pyramid without Jean for some serious shopping! I'm totally in love with t-shirts with cute phrases. I got one with 'guys make great accessories'. I'm actually wearing it now, paired with the Houston Rockets shorts which if I'm not mistaken, Daniel Wu has an identical pair. Ha ha. Imagination runs wild.

I bought a new pair of heels from TSC, a top for Mom and another for Crystal from Sesame Street. Not much, trying to save up. Who knows Cheryl might show up one day and take me shopping at Pavilion?

Met up with Crystal and her friends for dinner which we joined Thomas and his friends at Sushi Zanmai (I loved that place). It was pretty, I don't know, I was talking to Crystal the whole time, so much to catch up! Both of us left early and we headed for some yogurt ice cream -

    Here's what Crystal ordered,

Yogurt ice cream and fish cakes and walnut balls, I don't recall their names..

In the end, we only managed to finish half of the ice cream. We actually asked the auntie sitting next to our table if she wanted the fishcakes and walnut balls. I swear we didn't even touch them. Too full! Still it's not my fault, she placed the order. He he.

    Something random, raindrops.

Today was fun, we went playing netball! After English, Sarah, Jean and I hugged out precious JCO donuts to the football field nearby.

Precious! We waited for Natalie and Stephanie for like 40 minutes and by the time they arrived, there was only one left for them. The OREOLOGY, the black one! I love the MISS GREEN T. The picture makes me feel hungry right now!

A picture of me taken by Sarah. It was so hot and I was in the mood for dress and heels this morning. I'm thinking of coloring my hair, you think? Ha ha.

Can see the joy on my face after sharing 5 donuts, rite?

We were so bored waiting for them, resisting the temptation to eat the last donut left. So I texted Thomas and borrowed his basketball.

We played here! I was in my dress, my feet bare cos I took off the heels. I made some very nice shots, 3 out of inifinity tries! That's a start!

Sarah was in her skirt and Jean's in her CROCS silver ballet flats. It was hilarious especially when our ball rolled to the opposite of the court and this pretty beefy guy threw it back at us. I was in the middle of the court and all I could think of was "RUN!!!" cos he threw the ball at us as if he's throwing it in a rugby game. Can see he was really putting all his energy to it.

That was embarrassing alright! Since both Sarah and Jean were standing behind me laughing as if.. Fine, it was pretty idiotic lah!

I just got home from their hostel an hour ago, some last minute work for our Malaysian Studies presentation. Don't worry, Sarah. I'm here. BUT! We did text Thomas to borrow his basketball again cos both Sarah and I would be playing again!

The basketball just next to my bed!

Haivng dinner with them tomorrow night before they leave for Sarawak on Saturday during the march break. More pictures to be uploaded

Things I do for my best friend, Potato right?

8 Random Facts Rules & regulations.
    1) Each person tagged must post these rules.
    2) They must post 8 random facts about themselves.
    3) When I say random, I mean R-A-N-D-O-M.
    4) You'll have to elaborate about the facts.
    5) The blogger shall then tag 8 of their pitiful friends.

    1) I like to scream.
I don't really scream. I just speak at a very high volume all the time. Sometimes I do scream for attention but I do that only when I'm at home, especially when Sis is around. And when I see Justin Timberlake's performance for the MTV VMA and MTV Eutope Music Awards, when Rukawa scores in Slam Dunk, whenever I talk to Sarah ( AAAAH!!! THE TAXI GUY!!!! SHE'S SO LUCKY!!!) and Jean whenever she couldn't catch what I'm trying to tell her. Oh gosh, I do scream alot.

    2) I like everything.
I don't like everything. Why would a person likes everything?

    3) I eat a lot.
I could eat alot if I want to but.. tengah jaga badan sekarang. Wouldn't want Potato to see me being fat when he comes over to KL right! Let's just change it to "I eat everything" Speaking of which, I just ate corn in cup Dad bought for me at the pasar malam last night while I was studying hard with Thomas in the library. I've been starving the whole day in my Sister's boobie revealing dress. 3 cubes of free chocolate from 830 to 1700!!!

    4) I like to say cute and for me, everything is cute.
Err, again, how could everything be cute? But I do agree with people when they say I'm cute all the time. Ha ha. They don't say I'm cute all the time lah. Just that I seriously think I'm pretty cute myself. Ehh, no. I'm really serious.

    5) I think Paris Hilton rocks.
Somehow, I'm more of a fan of Nicole Richie. She looks waaaaaaaay better than Paris!

    6) New names.
Jean with her usual Lowie even when I forced her to call me baby. Baby David no longer calls me leng lui jie jie, leaving me heartbroken. Still, he's forgiven cos he called me Baby Lowena.

    7) I love to march.
Are you serious? Under the super hot sun? It should be "I love to march to shopping malls"

    8) Bags.
I love love love love bags! I'm so into Nine West nowadays!

Today was supposed to be a good day. I had a cube of chocolates for breakfast, I wasn't asked a single question during accounts, I did my assignment for economics..

Until the time when Jean received a sms from her mom : SPM results to be announced by next Wednesday. I could not believe it, not even when Freda, Crystal texted to tell me the same thing, Dad reading from the papers aloud. I just had to seek for verification.

So i typed "SPM, 2008" in the search box of yahoo and totally went Sarah's signature, "Oh, my SHIT" Not even the 3-sided toothbrush Mom bought for me just now could make me any happier.

Oh well, I might as well spend the next 30 minutes staring into the orange sky. After that, I vow to study aggressively for my math paper tomorrow and practice hard for my english oral presentation tomorrow!

    FIGHTO FIGHTO!

I've been listening to these songs recently over and over again. Love the lyrics

"Mary's Song (Oh My My My)"

She said, I was seven and you were nine
I looked at you like the stars that shined
In the sky, the pretty lights
And our daddies used to joke about the two of us
Growing up and falling in love and our mamas smiled
And rolled their eyes and said oh my my my

Take me back to the house in the backyard tree
Said you'd beat me up, you were bigger than me
You never did, you never did
Take me back when our world was one block wide
I dared you to kiss me and ran when you tried
Just two kids, you and I...
    Oh my my my my

    I was sixteen when suddenly
I wasn't that little girl you used to see
But your eyes still shined like pretty lights
And our daddies used to joke about the two of us
They never believed we'd really fall in love
And our mamas smiled and rolled their eyes
And said oh my my my...

Take me back to the creek beds we turned up
Two A.M. riding in your truck and all I need is you next to me
Take me back to the time we had our very first fight
The slamming of doors instead of kissing goodnight
You stayed outside til the morning light
    Oh my my my my

A few years had gone and come around
We were sitting at our favorite spot in town
And you looked at me, got down on one knee

Take me back to the time when we walked down the aisle
Our whole town came and our mamas cried
You said I do and I did too
Take me home where we met so many years before
We'll rock our babies on that very front porch
After all this time, you and I

    I'll be eighty-seven; you'll be eighty-nine
I'll still look at you like the stars that shine
In the sky, oh my my my...

    "Our Song"

I was riding shotgun with my hair undone in the front seat of his car
He's got a one-hand feel on the steering wheel
    The other on my heart
I look around, turn the radio down
He says baby is something wrong?
I say nothing I was just thinking how we don't have a song
    And he says...

    [Chorus:]

Our song is the slamming screen door,
Sneakin' out late, tapping on your window
When we're on the phone and you talk real slow
Cause it's late and your mama don't know
Our song is the way you laugh
The first date "man, I didn't kiss her, and I should have"
And when I got home ... before I said amen
Asking God if he could play it again

I was walking up the front porch steps after everything that day
Had gone all wrong and been trampled on
    And lost and thrown away
Got to the hallway, well on my way to my lovin' bed
I almost didn't notice all the roses
    And the note that said...

    [Repeat Chorus]

I've heard every album, listened to the radio
Waited for something to come along
That was as good as our song...

Cause our song is the slamming screen door
Sneaking out late, tapping on his window
When we're on the phone and he talks real slow
Cause it's late and his mama don't know
Our song is the way he laughs
The first date "man, I didn't kiss him, and I should have"
And when I got home, before I said amen
Asking God if he could play it again

I was riding shotgun with my hair undone
In the front seat of his car
I grabbed a pen and an old napkin
And I wrote down our song

Busy week ahead; switching on the nerd mode tomorrow onwards. Still, I need some motivation..

    Video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=k0H600EnZEg

I found this music video when I was watching random videos on youtube. It's so funny! Maybe it's because Ben Stiller's in it. I love Ben Stiller!

Since I'm still waiting for the next translated chapter of Naruto, I'm starting with Bleach all over again because Sarah's one huge fan of Bleach. I used to love Ichimaru, this weird evil shinigami with a huge smile on his face all the time. The reason I'm reading the manga again is because Sarah told me there's a super good looking new shinigami!
