just returned from hong kong, beijing, guilin city, and shanghai!!!!!! what a trip. cathay pacific sucks-not really but the long flight and the most uncomfortable seats ever do. LA was my jumping off point and the folks there are extremely rude-everyone from the nazi TSA to the starbucks girl are miserable people and project it on everyone around them. life is too short as my best friend says and so i have no time for those kind of folks.
anyway, hong kong and shanghai are definitely places to visit. both very cosmopolitan. shanghai has everything. beijing is under incredible stress to pull off this olympic thing and is desperately trying to put it's best foot forward. i applaud them for their efforts! still they have a lot to accomplish and it should extend beyond the olympics if they are really going to be a world presence. the smog is horrible.
now for why i love the USA. in short, we are the greatest country in the world. not only the most beautiful but the most educated, the most diverse, the strongest, and the most giving nation in the world. yes we have our problems-many are very severe-but after visiting china, it is clear about our worldly stance. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
