I was lucky to be at the right place at the right moment to watch the total solar eclipse in Shanghai !
Unfortunatly today it's a rainy day so dark clouds hide the meeting between the sun and the moon. In a bright interval before the total darkness around 9.15am i could see through the clouds the moon eating the sun (Mary my mandarin teacher taught me this chinese way to say it) ;)

Because of the bad weather i couldn't tell if it was getting darker because of the heavy clouds or the eclipse... But then quickly no doubt anymore, the temperature dropped and the sky changed color :
And then total darkness fell in front of me. I felt like being in a SF movie !
9.37AM can you believe that ??!!
9.42AM Light came back little by little.
It was an awesome experience !!
I'm happy i could witnessed that impressive natural phenomenon. It's like living a whole day passing by, day-dusk-night-dawn-day in 10mn !!
Lex Luthor would have the perfect 5mn opportunity to beat Superman today...

Ooooppss I did it again...

I got my red hair back.
This time, Kyo my hair dresser mixed 2 colors. I wanted my hair black and pink but he said it's too common so he chose pink and dark red instead. I also let him freestyled with the cut, i just mentioned i liked the length for the front...I think i look again like an anime character...

Woooow i think this is gonna be a long a$$ blog because it's been a while i didn't say anything about my life in SH.
Ok so let's first talk about my sweet XWT crew and the Dance Space.
Every summer, the school has a big show case to end the school year. I didn't take a lot of pics because Cyrille was there, shooting everything.

Li Tong was there too despite her hectic schedule that day and performed "Listen". All the students and guests were like O_o Wooowww ! haha
I'll get all the pictures from Cyrille later but at least i took with my camera a picture with Ryan <3
I know I look super tired...
Lee wanted me to dance too but i was so busy that i couldn't practice all the routines T_T
After that day, Dance Space had a special guest : Kite Masai.
He is a japanese popping dancer and the winner of the international contest "Just debout 2009" in Paris this last spring. He stayed with us 2 days.
Kite is super cool and nice. His english is good so i could chat with him pretty often. We laughed a lot talking about anime. He will be back in 2 weeks in SH for a special event "FUNK IT UP!" co organized by Dance Space and Racks MDB !! Go and check it out if you are in SH =)

Also, last July 4th DY and me finally launched his official website www.dysao.com ! yay !
We've been working on it since my trip to CA, so basically for 2 months. If you don't know DY beside his AnD blog, i invite you to check his site out because you would learn more about him and you would understand why he is such a great person to me. =)

That's right, I decided to start my own business !
I teamed up with my girl Heather and we founded SMILE!, a friendly team for your communication needs haha ! Basically we call ourselves marketing mercenaries...
The concept is because of the crisis every companies cut down their marketing team and their budgets. They still need marketing but don't want or can not afford a team the whole year.
So SMILE! would be that team the time of a project or event. it's specially convenient for small/middle size businesses, individual artists, companies who are not in SH but would like to do something.
I'm working on the www.smilegenerators.com now, but we are already active so if you need us, just turn the SMILE! signal ōn =D
As you can guess, it requires a lot of energy to make people know me. I've been super busy with networking since the 3 last weeks... combine that with 3 times of gym a week, an event in 2 weeks with the Dance Space and you have an idea of how tired i am. But i love my life.
Seriously, i've never felt as ALIVE as now. It's tiring but i love it. Among all my network activities, I've been to a BBQ organized by Aegis Co op, a nice shop for guys.

Tommy Tam co hosted the party and he cooked for like 4h !!!
At this BBQ, i've been introduced to Didier aka JabaOne, an artist who worked on the 3D of Transformers 2 !!! He was visiting my friend Simon (another 3D artist) and we hung out pretty often. By chance, his friend Jon One, a graffiti artist from NYC, had his solo exhibition in Shanghai.
We went there with our little group of 6 peoples at 11pm. the gallery was empty it was super cool to chill there with no one around.

If you missed the 1st episode.
I don’t know for how long I’ve been talking to the window but I’m just fascinated by what i’m hearing! I’m about to ask Ryder another question but he is waving bye bye at me and point at something behind me. I turn around to see what he is showing me and…
I am stunned.
Ryder is walking in the middle of the crowd, for real!
Wait, what do I mean by “for real”?
A quick look in the window confirms he is not facing me anymore.
Somebody is shaking my shoulder.
“Hey Loan, Ive been calling you for the last 5 mins! You didn’t seem to hear your phone at all! Is it on vibrate or something?”
Michael? You called me? On my phone?
“Yeah and you didn’t pick up so I walked around to see if I could find you. I started to worry and when I found you in front of this shop window and you didn’t even hear me when I called you…”
Really?
“Loan, est ce que ca va?”
Oui...non...J’en suis pas sur !
“You look pale, let’s go to that ramen place I promised to take you to. I’m sure you’ll feel better afterwards!”
10min later, I am sitting in a small Japanese restaurant, in front of bowls of ramen and Michael. The food is just delicious and the taste of it makes me realize I’m not dreaming.
Michael, can I ask you something…
“Sure, what’s up?”
What do you think about Ryder?
"Hum… I think he’s really lucky to be with Lumina?!? Hahaha "
Haha! [Sarcastic laugh] Seriously, was it hard to be him? How did you get in the character?
"Getting in the character of Ryder was quite challenging. As I’m the first person from Corwaith that viewers see, I had to have pictures and feelings about my character’s background, history… It felt special to be the 1st one to imagine and create this world in my mind... Actually, I’m probably the 2nd, our lovely director/writer, Jennifer Thym, is most likely the 1st one! "
What is your best memory on set?
"Actually, everyday on the set was magical, as we had the coolest cast and the most caring and professional crew… At the end of the production, no one wanted it to end! Plus, we were shooting on many people’s dream camera: the cutting edge RED One camera at 4K resolution (2:1 aspect format)."
And there was this one scene where Ryder had to convince Lumina that he’s real. Juju and I were face to face, separated by a glass, our hands could overlap, but again this was the closest I could ever get to her. The scene eventually gets pretty intense and intimate and very frustrating to be so limited while expressing my feelings to Lumina. It was very challenging but alot of fun to play this scene. Ryder and Lumina have never felt so close to each other… and it was very interesting for Juju and I to know that the crew really enjoyed our chemistry!
I read some people think Lumina is a metaphor of long distance relationships, do you agree?
"Hum, I guess I could agree on this... It’s like using the Internet or mobile phone with 3G to communicate with someone, in the same city or in different countries… you get the image and the sound… but cant touch or feel that person… It’s also really frustrating not to be able to be there physically when someone needs you…
And you know, when someone decides to avoid your calls, they want you to think that they’re either busy or didn’t hear the phone, but you know they’re ignoring you?
Lumina turned off all the lights in her apartment to minimize the reflections, but I knew she was there! No reflections, No Ryder! Haha"
Lumina mixes action and romance, was it the first time for you to be in a romantic story?
"Hehe. Yeah, this was my very 1st time being romantic on screen. At first, I wasn’t too sure if I was “likable” enough! Haha! And I didn’t know how to act romantic in front of the camera, it’s so different in real life! Then, the extra obstacle was to act through glasses or reflections, but I listened to Jennifer’s directions and worked a lot with Juju. They were both great help to my performances.
Btw, I'd say that Lumina is a mix of romance and sci-fi, I believe the action is reserved for season 2! Can’t wait to start training again… "

What? You didn’t know it? Michael can speak French, he is from Montreal, Quebec!
On our way to the KTV, he showed me few places where they shot Lumina.
“And you know, the alley where you were earlier is where we took the headshot on my AliveNotDead profile. Let’s take some pictures there, so you can say you have met Ryder haha”
