  If you're going for the youth market, I'd suggest contacting the Mary Grady agency www.mgatalent.com/ If they'd take you on, they'd probably be able to send you out enough to make trying to stay in LA worth a shot. It's hard to be bi-coastal until you're already working a lot already.

  If you can really play 14 and you're over 18, you should have a lot of opportunities, make sure you exploit that while you can. Not sure what NY is like, LA might have more need of the teenage-looking adults.
