International superstar Jackie Chan donated his antique collection worth about S$100million to Singapore's fourth university which is estimated to start in 2011.
Chan's property agent in Singapore, Simon Kwan, verified the news to local press but is unable to certify how much the donations are worth.
Chan started collecting antique buildings 20 years ago, eight of them are old houses and old stages of the Ming and Qing dynasties with at least 200 years of history.
He had actually wanted to donate the structures to the Hong Kong government but they took too long in replying so Kwan suggested donating to Singapore instead.
Kwan also specially flew to Hong Kong to understand the artifacts before suggesting to the Singapore authorities. Chan finally decided to donate his antique collection to a Singapore new university which will open in 2011.
According to reports, the new university, which will be located at Upper Changi near the Singapore Expo, will offer degrees in Design and Construction, Engineering, Business and Information Technology course.
A tiny heart-shaped island in the Adriatic has become a holiday hit for St Valentine's Day after being discovered on Google Earth.
Even the uninhabited island's owner didn't realise how perfectly heart-shaped the island off the Croatian coast was until he was swamped with requests from lovers to stay there.
"It has been incredible. We think it is the most perfect heart-shaped island in the world," said Vlado Juresko whose family owns the 130,000 square yard islet of Galesnjak, hastily redubbed Lovers' Island.
"Nobody lives there so if lovers really do want to spend time alone it's the perfect desert island.
"We always thought it looked a bit like a heart but since it's been on Google Earth everyone else has seen it too and the whole world seems to want to stay here."
Eric Suen came back to Hong Kong pop music in 2007 with his best-of compilation So Far So... Close and was greeted with a warm welcome by listeners. His 2009 new album's title track "Only Want to be With You" is a prime example of the heart-warming ballads he's famous for, and the single's Mandarin version closes the album perfectly. Other songs include the second plug "West Dowager", a fashion tribute with a political undertone penned by Wyman Wong, and "My Favorite", the theme song for Pages of Treasures, the TVB drama Eric stars in. The bonus DVD contains music videos of "Only Want to be With You", "West Dowager", and "Multiple Injuries".
