Warning-Japan-School-Birthday-Reflectiion

Warning Letter

DEAR CALIFORNIA DRIVER,

DRIVERS WITH CRASHES AND TRAFFIC CONVICTIONS ON THEIR RECORDS ARE AT A GREATER RISK OF THOSE CAUSING FUTURE CRASHES.YOUR RECENT RECORD OF BAD DRIVING PLACES YOU AT INCREASED RISK OF CAUSING CRASHES, INJURY AND DEATH. WE DO NOT WANT YOU TO SUFFER CONSEQUENCES AND WANT TO HELP YOU AVOID THEM.WE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE YOU ARE A GOOD DRIVER, AND YET YOUR DRIVING RECORD IS MUCH WORSE THAN THE AVERAGE CALIFORNIA DRIVER. WHILE YOU MAY BE A GOOD AND SAFE DRIVER MOST OF THE TIME, YOUR RECORD REFLECTS AT LEAST MOMENTARY LAPSES IN DRIVING JUDGEMENT. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, A MOMENT OF CARELESSNESS CAN BECOME A TRAGEDY. GOOD, CARING PEOPLE WHO MAKE CARELESS DECISIONS WHILE DRIVING CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH.

IN EFFORT TO URGE YOU TO DRIVE SAFER, WE ARE OFFERING YOU A CHOICE. YOU CAN CHOOSE TO PREVENT FURTHER ACTION FROM DMV BY AVOIDING ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC CONVICTIONS AND BY NOT CAUSING ANY CRASHES. HOWEVER, IF YOU CHOOSE TO CONTINUE YOUR UNSAFE DRIVING, THE PENALTIES WILL INCREASE AND EVENTUALLY LEAD TO PROBATION, SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF YOUR DRIVING PRIVILEGE.WE BELIEVE YOU ARE CAPABLE OF MAKING A CHANGE TO BECOME A SAFER DRIVER, BUT IT IS UP TO YOU TO DO SO.IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO CHANGE, YOUR DRIVING WILL CONTINUE TO PRESENT A RISK TO YOURSELF AND OTHER ROAD USERS. IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE AND BECOME A SAFER, MORE RESPONSIBLE DRIVER, YOU CAN.WE HOPE THAT YOU WILL DECIDE TO CHANGE, BUT THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

... Now after reading this to my friend, he says  "Do they send this to all Asian people?"muahahahhaahaha  Ok, so what the cat is out of the bag. I am a terrible driver. To my own reprieve, since living in Southern California I have not been in an accident, nor have I killed anyone or damaged other vehicles.  (only bicylists, walls, and curbs) I do, however, currently have two points on my record, one from driving on the shoulder of the 405 for like twenty feet because I was falling asleep and the other was driving to vegas a 80 mph! Come on, are you kidding? That hardly labels me as a killer! There are drunk drivers who purposely drive wrecklessly, I just have a short attention span and tend to multi task. I haven't killed anyone and I follow all signs and traffic procedures Ive learned in traffic school the three times I have gone. In all seriousness though, the real people to blame for my driving skills are my  parents. They are Asian.

JapanJapan was amazing, Tokyo had the most incredible forward fashion, city life, and delicious food! We went all over Tokyo and visited Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Narita, and Roppongi Districts. Each had a different feel and lifestyle but overall the city is nostaligic with amazing skylines and striking lights, you never want to leave. Everyone walks everywhere, the trains are packed with business men and women in trenchcoats and shiny shoes, dressed to the T roaming through the city, even in the rain!

The funny fashion trends are blonde hair and over the knee boots for women ( the F me boot on crack) every woman in Tokyo wears them hiking miles on end, its quite sexy but takes away the novelty since all the girls rock them. I do recall I was told at the Magic convention (Clothing Convention from all over the world designers come here to release new designs and fashions for the next season) Early August 2008 that the next years fall fashion would be this item!  OverKneeBoots

Well Japans fashion and technology are always a few steps ahead os the US. It takes awhile to adjust to skeptical fearful americans! This also reminds me of my favorite car, the Lexus LS that can park itself! That technology had been in Japan for years before introducing it to America.  LS600hl Amazing time, wonderful people, and Tokyo I will return to you! Here is an incredible timelapse video by Samuel Cockedy that depicts this exact emotions I felt in Japan. Thanks Mochi.  TokyoTimeLapseSchool Business classes just wrapped until May 16th so I am stoked! I did have to finish a 10 page paper on Managing Labor Relations in the Entertainment Industry and economic crisis and how it effects contingent workers. It actually turned out to be 16 pages double spaced. The presentation went well, but I only got trhough 10/17 slides since I ran out of time! Overall I am sure I will be on the deanslist and ready for Finance =P

Birthday  Ill be back to class May after celebrating my 26th birthday  May 12th! I'm not sure what I'm doing just yet, but there ahve been talks of big party, Monaco, Italy, and Carribean. I will keep you posted, if it's a party you may be allowed to come as it will be for charity! Now to the sad part, Wow, I am feeling old! I swear I remember turning 21 like it was yesterday. For all the youngins, enjoy it while it lasts, it flew by at a blink of an eye. sigh* I should have listened to those old people when I was young, I was in such a rush to grow up and really didn't get to enjoy the chase. Everything is a chasting after the wind, so pay attention while you're doing it at least so you don't blow away.

Reflection I had so many goals before turning 26, many I have already accomplished including owning my own business, traveling the world, finishing an album, and be in a movie and television show! There are a few I haven't quite accomplished yet, but I'm sure I will get there soon. Life is a journey and more and more I realize I need to take some time to enjoy the adventure and not worry so much about the end result. I am a  Consequentialist turned  Proceduralist.

Enough venting for now.
