The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be.

I agree with my sis, there are pro's and con's but honestly I've never experienced something like this before so I wouldn't know for sure. I'm the type of person who needs their space once and a while and if I'm too smothered I will snap! lol but I'm not saying I'm against it but I AM against it if it were a 15 year old having her 16 year old boyfriend live with her.... thats different.

When I was young and inexperienced, I thought living-in wasn't a good thing. I wrote about it in a college English assignment. I wrote that I was against it but not sure if I really was - might've said so for the sake of writing the paper. 10 months later I was living-in with the future Mr. P. haha.

Anyways, it works for some. Whether it's beneficial or not really depends on the characteristics of the individuals involved.

Well I am all for live-in relationship!

It's like buying a house, you wouldn't buy a house without checking inside, would you? So it makes no sense to get into marraige without actually live in with that person! I mean, you never know if the house is leaking.. You never know the person you are about to marry is actaully...a freak! ;-P

(of course I know you are not a freak lah~)

Looks like you have two posts...hmmm...where should I put my comment? I guess here :P

I really think it depends on the person - each have their way of living, beliefs, and whatnot. Society has everything to do with it (I'm mean they influence such decisions). Some are more lenient than others. I was a strong believer of separate until you're married, but marriage is or could be an eternity...I dunno, I guess if my bf asked me to move in w/him, I'd consider it. Of course I'll talk to my family first. In reality, it doesn't matter what anyone else says...like you said - family/friend support is an important bond. If they're comfortable w/it, then why not? Who cares what society thinks. It's a way to test the waters...

I think it's best way to test if everyday life works...I already lived in one...

my sister lives with her bf but he is a dipshit (though she fails to see it)...it depends on who the person is...and what you both want...you can still live with your gf/bf and get married if you want to...some people don't need to get married...they love each other and will be together despite not being married...look at Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel, they have been together for years and they are in love, but they are not married (they have been together longer than some Hollywood couples that are married)...if you want to get married...having a live in relationship wont stop you...in a way i think they are good because you can live with the person and see if you are compatible to live with...there is nothing worse than marrying someone that you find you can't stand iiving with regardless of how much you love them...some people have habits that are so irritating that you just simply can't live with them...and sometimes loving them is not enough...it could lead to arguments or more...i think it is best to see if you can live with the person before you take the piunge and get married...

you ask some pretty good questions lianng!!!!
