In the midst of residency, Jon Sugihara came into my life and swept me off my feet.  I never thought that I would get married so soon.  The big day will be on 7/3/09 in Hawaii. 

2008 was a crazy year for me.  On one hand, I was working extremely hard in the hospital but on the other hand, I was spending more time with my girl friends and concentrating a bit on the future.  I thought about moving back to Hong Kong or Singapore to be a doctor there instead of the US, but it looks like I will be moving to Hawaii to be a developmental pediatrician instead. 

I just came back from Hawaii to escape the cold in Boston.  Boston has been having snowstorms every 4 days.  Cars are abandoned on the streets and kids sometimes get home from school via school buses after 10pm due to the road conditions.  I have included a picture of Boston after the snowstorm a few days ago.  I tried out my new snowboots and stomped into 2 feet of snow the other day.  It was a good feeling to play in the snow again.  My last white Christmas was spent in Alaska (of all places!).  

Here are three pictures Jon took of me when I was in Hawaii.  Keila (the mini-schnauzer) loved the sand, but hated the water. 

Today is my birthday.  We were out celebrating at MASA and will head to Brookline to celebrate tonight.  I am so used to celebrating my birthday in San Francisco.  But I am enjoying myself in the East Coast too.  I guess I will have 2 more birthdays here in Boston before I move again.  My next target location might be Hong Kong, so look out for me!
