Thanks and appreciate for the post of tibetan Pictures. The truth is its totally different. I still have my relatives in Tibet whom i didn't see since we become refugee. there is systematic cultural genocide. Lhasa is becoming a just regular chinese city filled with han chinese. I am just feeling really angry sometime and remains optimistic. China is changing society and we are seeing those impact every where.

Those are amazing. It looks like that area is wild & rugged, yet at the same time peaceful & serene. There's something spectacular about the way the earth is highlighted against the sky there. Thanks for posting these. :)

Wow!  Did you visit some of the places that Jet did in Tibet back in 2001?  Some of the places look "familiar."  What an awesome opportunity for you and thank you for letting us see your photos!  I especially love the beauty of the Dalai Lamas summer palace (with the fountain!  Gorgeous!!!!!)!

Not sure what they are but we saw lots of those patterns on the ground from the train.

HA.  Even better with the captions!

What were those guys doing in the field with the green fence?  It looks like they were growing mud cakes.

Wonderful pics Laney.  I do most of my traveling from my sofa!  On DVDs.  I saw a couple of fascinating DVDs on Tibet.  The part that killed me was what the PRC did to so many monasteries, just obliterated them, shelled them...and this was in Modern Times!  Doesn't sound like liberation to me.

Did you spend all your time in Llahsa or did you get around?

    Lots of steps!
