- Laconia are a rock/metal band from Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. They are soon to be working on the movie "The Tournament". directed by Scott Mann and produced by Keith bell. Also starring Kelly Hu, Robert Carlisle and Ving Rhames. Laconia have been played on Bruce Dickinsons BBc radio show and MetalHammer magazine have described Laconia as "destined for bigger things". About Me
Laconia hail from Newcastle in England. This four piece rock/metal band, have an established fan base in the UK and have been gigging for the last 6 yrs. Laconia have appeared in Metal Hammer magazine when their EP was reviewed and received 9/10 score. Laconia have also appeared on Bruce Dickinsons BBC radio show amongst the likes of Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall and Guns N roses.
Laconia are now writing and recording new material, whilst playing the odd gig in between. But Laconia's main project at the moment is to complete their role in the movie soundtrack for a new motion picture, "The Tournament". The film stars Kelly Hu, Robert Carlisle, Ving Rhames and Sebastian Foucan amongst many other big names. Laconia will be filming two videos in September to promote the movie and themselves.
