  • ARE YOU STAR MATERIAL???

    Thursday, Oct 9, 2008 7:02PM / Standard Entry

Yes, once again I am looking for new faces to be on a TVB program.  Actually I am looking for a few.  Firstly I am looking for 3 girls to be in a promotional ad on TVB.  I am looking for foreign faces for this one.  If you think you look hot or better yet your friends think so, why not give it a try.  All I need to make sure is that you are eligible to work in Hong Kong (full time students are welcome, but unfortunately TVB is unable to hire anyone with a working visa).

For the other job.  I am looking for one western pretty female face and one East Indian Pretty Face to be on a big show on TVB.  The show will run for approximately three months.  This is a wonderful opportunity to be a regular actress on tvb.  All I need is to make sure that you are eligible to work in Hong Kong (once again TVB cannot hire anyone with a working visa).

FOR ALL INTERESTED CANDIDATES PLEASE SEND ME A NICE PHOTO OF YOURSELF, CONTACT DETAILS.  DETAILS OF YOUR RESIDENCY (For example, if you have a residency that is sponsored by family or a spouse, that is fine.), AGE, WEIGHT, etc... to [email protected]

  • Planning My Next Film

    Friday, Oct 3, 2008 8:07PM / Standard Entry

Readers of my blog: "What?  He's not even done with post on his latest and he still has to do
pre-pro with ah Chit.  What da F(*(* is he doing?

True, true, true enough.  That's filmmaking.  Non-stop.  What can I say.  Got a lot to say.  I estimate that LFN will be done soon enough.  After all I am just waiting for the score and the VO.  Then it's final cut (no advertising intended).

I am planning a new film that is not quite myself actually.  Something that will be more like a feature.  I plan to talk about my heritage as a Chiu Chow chinese.  No..... not talking about mobs and cocaine.  I want to focus about the Chiu Chow family.  I want to talk about being a son in a Chiu Chow family.  The story will take on two generations.  The first being a much shorter part then the second.  For I want to focus more about the contemporary Chiu Chow family.

I owe a few actors a few roles, and this is a good time to return this to them.  I will be casting a great number of people.  The shoot will take a a long time.  I don't plan to shoot until next winter.  But the pre-production will start soon after ah Chit's film.  I want to take more time into pre-production (ouch.,... this is definately gonna cost me.  There goes my car).  Doing the proper research, casting, and locations search.  Also I want to spend a lot more time with the score.  It will be my biggest project yet and hopefully you all will like it.

  • "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in"

Yes, the Godfather trilogy Blue-Ray Disc Boxset is out.  For those that have watched it before, it's worth watching again.  The digitally remastered films are better than any version you have ever seen.  This new version did a lot of work on remastering lighting issues in the original film (especially Godfather Part I).  In the seen where Michael Corleone kills for the first time, it is actually visible to see Al Pacino's Cheek acting.  Yes, his cheeks can act as well.  That performance was so incredible.  Truely a magnificent performance, magnificent actor.  The boxset also offers a 4 disc which has all the special treats with commentaries for Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas.  For those that were too young to even remember the Godfather, well here is your opportunity to watch it now.  NUMBER TWO FILM OF ALL TIME (source* AFI)

I finally have an idea to complete my final cut.  Hopefully I can finish it soon.  This idea actually came from watching "Requiem For a Dream".  It wasn't inspired from some visual, but rather it's creativity and the film's unique still of storytelling.  I hope you all will like it when I am done.

    MY NEW INDIAN DIET
Yes, I am now trying an indian diet.  Reason, look at the ingredients in Indian food then compare to Chinese food

    Indian Food
    natural ingredients
    natural ingredients
    natural ingredients
    =Good tasty flavours

    Chinese Food
    MSG
    Soya Sauce (with MSG)
    Starch
    Fried stuff
Sugars (lots of, really some of the things you think have no sugars actually contain a lot)
    Salt
    Various Fats
=Tasty but it's not the food but the flavouring that you are enjoying

    Then compare to Western Food
    Saturated Fats
    Carbs
    Sodium
    Salts
    Fats
    Sugars
    Starch
= Tasty but it's gonna kill ya

Then compare to Organic Health Food
    Nutrional Value
    Gritty Crunchy Bite
Stuff you find the birds out your window eating
    Good Carbs
=Really healthy but tastes like shit.  Why eat???

My findings...  We can enjoy what we eat.  Just watch what we eat.  Food shouldn't taste like bird feed.   One thing that commercialism and consumerism has done is giving a bad diet that is causing many people with heart diseases and other serious diseases.  Because the huge brandname products we often find in our neighboring supermarkets started giving us a thing called value, what we didn't realize is that they took away a thing called value (nutritional value).  After watching a few documentaries on Coppola and Lucas, I found that both once suffered from a minor heart attack at a very young age.  Like them, I enjoy eating, but I don't want to die.  To all of my friends here at AND, are you like me?  If so have you checked out what's really in the food you are eating?  It's never too early.  More and more young people are suffering from heart disease today.
