Hey everyone!
Thanks to the response from my YouTube appearance at Alive Not Dead the other day, I've been invited to plonk out a couple of tunes at tomorrow's Brink Jazz Poetry Night. SWEEEEEET!!
Please come along and chill out with us - it's jazz darling, you must DO IT!
Here are the basic details:
Tuesday, 30th June from 9pm onwards, so if you want to chill with some awesome musicians (and I'll be there too), then get there early! I'm going to go and pick everyone's brain about their music and poetry. HOW EXCITING!!!
The Melting Pot
Shop 3, 1-5 Lower Elgin Street
Soho
It's $50 cover charge with free Swiss chocolate (which depresses me because I recently found out I am ALLERGIC to chocolate... SERIOUSLY. There's got to be a song in that somewhere...)
Spread the word! I hope to see you guys there!

Captain's Log. Thursday, June 22nd, 2009. The world is on the brink of implosion. Little green Tweedlebugs are fleeing for their lives, seeking refuge in the sewers of Hong Kong in an attempt to avoid the impending doom of the universe...
Not really. But now I have your attention.
So I went in to the AliveNotDead office this afternoon to meet the guys and play them a few songs. How VERY EXCITING! These guys are SUPER efficient, and it seems like they never stop working - thanks for putting the vid up so quickly Raffi! Terence, my sister and I preceded the meeting with some utterly buttery cupcakes. They were supremely good, but made me want to hurl a little bit. Thankfully, I didn't... that wouldn't have made a very good first impression.
So, I played a few songs, and we chatted about music and getting into the Hong Kong scene, which I'm really looking forward to doing! I can't wait to get out to some open mic nights and enjoy the collective talent of Hong Kongers. SWEEEEET.
Check out my profile for one of the unplugged songs I sang today. I'm now talking to a few people about steps towards an album. In the meantime, however, I'm going to prep myself to get out and start meeting some of you AnDers around town at different random things!
If anyone wants to jam, wants to recommend some places where I can check out/play live, or just wants to drop me a line, then DO IT DO IT DO IT :)
Wooop!

Hello world.
Here's the first of the blog entries, in what will hopefully be a trickling stream of e-consciousness with happy blabberings about nothing and everything.
Since arriving two months ago I've been scouting out Hong Kong's music
scene, and am really encouraged by the professional passion and
support that I've encountered here.
Last week was a fun one- I successfully submitted and landed the
contract to write and sing english lyrics for the cartoon show
Electroboy, and worked with two uuber talented producers, Hanjin and
Kelvin, on recording a song for submission to the US markets.
Tomorrow starts my jam sessions with Ben, and that will see my guitar
improve hugely - I'll be playing my original works out around town soon.
Anyways, that's all from me for now- more updates later- give me a
shout if you have any interesting projects you'd like to collaborate on!
