Tickets really are selling fast (there are less than 50 seats left for the final performance, and tickets have been on sale for one day!), so book your seats ASAP!

• Sleeplessness is next to craziness...

  Hey guys!
  
  This entry could well be the most nonsensical piece of purple prose put forth by this crazy, crazy lady for a LONG TIME.
  
  I've had about 5 hours' sleep in the last 3 days... I wish it was because of some rock star lifestyle, but, sadly, it's because I've been locked in the Music Practice Room at University, trying to understand the best way to write chords in Tonal Music (don't ask me what it means. If I knew, I would have had more than 5 hours sleep)... now THAT'S PROPER ROCK AND ROLL.

  In other news, tickets for Sweeney Todd will be available from the 26th October onwards, so I'll be hounding you guys to book tickets closer to the date!
  
  We're really looking forward to the Esprit campaign photos coming out, which should be at the end of October, so, again, we'll let you know when things start happening...
  
  Right, I'm off to try and sleep. I have songs to write, food to eat, and scripts to memorize, so it looks like another night of delirium for Mrs. Lovett....

• Friends of Esprit

  Hey guys,
  
  Here is a mini blog entry to tell you we were lucky enough to be one of the 8 groups picked for the Esprit Friendship Campaign! Raven and I are super excited, and want to thank everyone who voted for us. You guys ROCK.
  
  Shooting is next week sometime, so I'll keep you all posted on how it went!
  
  Apart from the Esprit campaign, I've been keeping myself head-deep in all things musical. Sweeney Todd rehearsals began this week, and I have now spent my first week as a crusty old Music Major. I won a scholarship for Music Performance at HKU, so will start preparing for some cheezy but awesome concerts very soon.
  
  I'm playing a gig in a couple of weeks, which I shall post details about in the next couple of days (a little mini-band I'm in are opening for them on the 19th. By mini-band I mean me and one other person...). Keep your eyes peeled for that (where does that phrase come from? It's really gross imagery), because I won't be playing out and about for a while afterwards (my head will implode with all things musical and I'll be reduced to a quavering pile of lyrical nonsense), and come support! There will be some great bands on... and we'll be there too ;)
  
  Life's being very good to me right now. It's creeping me out a little bit.

• FACE OF ESPRIT!

  Hey all!
  
  It's been another crazy month in La La land (yes, I just said La La Land... forgive me), and I've been preparing for the onslaught of all things musical in September. Rehearsals for Sweeney Todd begin in just under two weeks, and my Music degree commences around the same time. Actually, it'll be Music and Languages (although, interestingly enough, I have to FIGHT with them to learn Cantonese - apparently local students are not allowed to take it... but I'm automatically enrolled in "Chinese Academic Writing" which is conducted in Cantonese... welcome to the bureaucratic HELL of tertiary education... AGAIN). I'm super excited, and am probably going to feel like a musical moron once the course begins... but still SUPER EXCITED ANYWAY!! Sadly, my first degree has nothing to do with music *shudders at the thought of it*, so this one will be much more fun!
  
  Right, so ESPRIT TIME!!
  
  
  
  My ever-beautiful sister Raven and I popped down to the Causeway Bay store and filled in our little scribble pads with silly little nothings, drank about ten litres of water (it was REALLY HOT that day), and tried to work out an entertaining moment in our friendship. Most of our childhood memories consisted of her trying to kill me (literally), which we decided was a little too morbid for the screen. By the time we went into the booth, we hadn't come up with anything particularly exciting, so we just tried to keep it short and sweet and not too extreme (which, with both our personalities, can be hard to do).
  
  A bit of a song and six minutes' worth of rambling later, we were done! It was a really cool experience in that it reminded us how close we are (and, in hindsight, highlighted the fact that I should really get out and meet more people... she'll be reading this so HA IN YOUR FACE RAVEN) ;0

• Electroboy Underway!!

  It's been a hectic couple of weeks, and my fingers are officially worn down to little stubs, but it's all in the name of preparing for some live shows, so it has been well worth it! 

  
  

  I've been working on a few new songs, which I hope to get out to the public in the coming weeks. My gigs will have a mix of cover songs and original songs, so if anyone wants to suggest some well-known hits for me to cover, it would be great to hear your thoughts.

  
  

  The first recording for the Electroboy Theme Song has been completed, and will be finalized in the coming weeks. We have hours and hours of footage that will be clipped, trimmed and sliced up like a baby watermelon, and served up to listeners with the finished theme song just as soon as I get the OK from the Powers That Be. It was the longest recording session of recent years for me - we did a nine-hour session that ended [deliriously] at 5am... but it was worth it for the Fishball King Noodle Break at 2am! 

  
  

  I must also mention that I was given the BEST present the other day... my VERY OWN Alive Not Dead Trucker Cap! How VERY exciting. It's hardly left my head!

  
  

  More soon. Can't wait to get Electroboy done and start on the next project - Sweeney Todd!
