the holidays went by so quick! may everyone be blessed with health, wealth, and love this mouse year!
my friend made truffles for valentine's day and gave me some. it's filled with almonds and flavored with hazelnut. Yum!

my sister received chocolate mice. handmade chocolates from http://burdickchocolate.com. anyone seen or tried their confections? unfortunately, i can't try them since the mice contain eggs. but, they also make penguins and bunnies which are safe.

the day started out lovely. chocolates were eaten, flowers were smelt, concerns were pacified. near the end of the day came with an unpleasant surprise. hearts broke, friends lost, well intentions were privately sent...
i'm proud of my friend's courage and willingness to change, but sad at the terrible loss. but, i believe a positive outcome will come from this and a balance will be found...

this has been a crazy month. first off, this was the worst deadline i've had. and my boss told me that too! i definitely would not have finished everything without my coworker. he is awesome! he tackled a very complex transaction and created a nice, easy-to-follow, summarized workpaper. thank goodness he had time to help me. i would've been shaking my fists toward the sky to this day. ugh! i hope next year will be better!
after the deadline, i was gearing up for the film fest. now, each year had some pretty cool people attending the festival. but this year's fall fest, i was very anxious and excited mainly because i knew the alivenotdead family was coming. and there were a lot of family members. here's a list of their films: the heavenly kings (yay!), finishing the game, blood brothers, invisible target (which i missed but already own on dvd), west 32nd, the rebel, and the drummer. did i miss any? it was so cool to see the cast, crew, members, directors, and producers hanging around the theatres, night after night, introducing their movies, conducting Q&A sessions and seminars, and supporting each other's projects. i took some video and actually participated in the Q&A sessions.
i would post them but i haven't learned how to edit (me out of the) video yet. anyways, it was a lot of fun!
i'm glad the AnD family enjoyed themselves. the only bad part was that terence and sung couldn't come, and my battery died during the FTG Q&A session. oh, and some dude tried to follow me home after the fest.
halloween was quiet and rainy. lots of candy left. too bad my mom always buy the ones i don't eat. it's probably gonna stay in the cabinet 'til next year...
now, back to the routine life. and trying to catch up on my shows that i taped. so far, november is looking to be pretty stress-less...
