  AWESOME! YEA!! Ahaha I suggest you going down to the shoe store, trying those shoes out, size, etc. etc. so when the day comes and you got the cash prepared, there's nothing stopping you from buying them! Oh, I suggest you phone the shop first before going down to make sure they have stock a few days ahead, nothing is more of a buzz-kill than "sorry out of stock" :P

  Well i suppose it' all abut how you market it. id suggest you keep telling people you want ONE pair of sneakers, but mark up the price 3 times, so when u get enough $, u can say "i went to the shop and realized the one pair was 1/3 the price now cos of some sale, and since u all had given me money to buy shoes, i figured id have to spend the rest of rthe money somehow, and so i bought these other 2 pairs. btw, i love my friends, did i tell u that? :P"

  Yikes, i hate it when that happens, it's like can you really blame them cos it's their garden, but YOU stepped around and got those shoes mucked up :\... oh well it's like a dog chasing its own tail, it never wins... i guess just think of it as "raw" like how people purposely stomp their brand new white sneakers so it doesnt seem so brand new, or denim jeans being "worn out" when you buy them :P

  Ahah my suggestions is to WALK A LOT! Wear out all the shoes u have, so u have to get rid of them, and for the sake of "keeping up with your new healthy habit of walking everywhere" u require ppl to get you shoes :P I say it's good for the heart (Walking) and soul (shoes!) :)

  ahah I know what you mean, like magazines here, they're expensive but dirt cheap in the states... sigh. Well I suggest you tell people that you're starting a "buy me my dream present" fund and instead of breaking their heads about what to get you, just donate a few bucks and you'll let them know when they've reached the top. In return, you will happily write all the doners' names on the bottom of the new pair of shoes you get. :P That way when you do wear those shoes, no one needs to know they were donated, and at the same time, you're giving credit :)

  I think you should just put in your birthday invitations or facebook profile "would love to get shoes as a birthday present one day."
  or instead of cake, ask for shoes :P They're calorie free and heck, it'll make you want to walk instead! :D
