It's been 103 days!

6 commentsI Cant believe it's been 103 days since my last entry. I guess you can say I have bee rather busy. Teaching, Directing, Acting, Casting, E.V.E.N.T filming, Website launch and my big three O!
My company E.V.E.N.T had it's first year anniversary and website launch back in June at the Cavern and the turn out and performances were amazing. Local media and press attended and there were shots of Terence Yin and myself in some of the local papers. The night was a huge success and we want to say a very special thank you to all the performers, Alivenotdead, Simon Yin (Our host), Derrick Fong, Elden Cheung, Anniewho,The Flying Pan ( Tammy), Belvedere, Yandy Yot, the Cavern and my partner in crime Roger De Leon aka Re:Flex.
Since the launch we have had Speak up! events every month for artists at MINT. We have now officially joined partnership with Alivenotdead to organize events. We are really excited and feel blessed to have such incredible support for the arts. That is our vision. We have also had monthly GROUNDED events. An old school hip hop and funk night at Philia lounge. Our DP Derrick Fong filmed the two last events and we cant wait to share these with you.
We have also be out filming around HK for our E.V.E.N.T commercial. This commercial will showcase artists here in HK and what we E.V.E.N.T do as a company. Featuring AND artist's! We will be launching the commercial next month and it will be screened at different festivals around HK, TV, The Web and events. More behind the scene shots coming soon! Here a just 2 for now :)

Acting wise I have turned down quite a lot lately due to my crazy life. Looking for the right roles and ones that will be challenging. I featured in the CB fresh music video as a sassy real estate agent : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmXi2-SjkOQ
and another short film that were both selected for the I Shot HongKong Film festival.
I also feature in LUMINA episode 6. My character (Serena Fong) and profile view here> Bring on season 2! Hopefully Jen gets funding for this and we will be filming another season.
For 2 months over summer I was directing different musicals every week at CMW performing arts center for kids. I was directing musicals such as CATS, High School Musial, The little Mermaid, Charlie Brown & Grease. The largest number I had to direct was 48 kids! It was pretty crazy. I was the only director and I only had 4 hours to cast, block direct and choreograph a whole performance that was performed at the end of each week. I am about to start teaching an acting class for teens again and am hoping to start adult classes within the next month or so. Yaye! :)

I just cast 4 beautiful models for a Diamond cooperate calender. Big stuff. I'm really proud of the casting. The girls were amazing and we had a bunch of fun on set!
I did the fittings at Philia Home special thanks to Winnie Lam and the girls wore dresses from Anniewho ! Who else right!? Thanks Annie! :)
So finally a blog about what I have been busy doing. I am cutting my teaching days back next month to focus more on being the producer of E.V.E.N.T and all the exciting projects we have on the pipe line. Also to hopefully have more time for acting work that may come my way. I want to say one last special thank you to brother Derrick Fong who has been filming all our footage for our commercial and will be filming our events from now on. He is an amzing talent! Also another very special thank you to Elden Cheung who has been our E.V.E.N.T photographer since we launched in April last year and has taken photos for us at every single event!
