First Time

Well here I am..Finally. After weeks of  "Hurry up and get your profile up" Have you done it yet?".

 Yes people I am a virgin when it comes to setting profiles up and working the web..Baby steps.

I arrived in HK in July last year. An actress and Director wondering to myself..mmmm HK?..Is this the place for me?.I'm an Artists, I am on my way..really on my way and maybe this is a major stepping stone...BACKWARDS! Errrrh?

Why HK?..I mean hey..I was a working Actress , Presenter, Director and Teacher of performing and screen Arts in New Zealand. I had just finished a major Feature Film and been cast opposite Anthony Hopkins in The Worlds Fastest Indian. I had been making a go in New York and meeting with Agents in L.A. So H.K???....

 To be frank,,,I fell in LOVE, I came to HK and just when I thought career wise...HOLLY CRAP..I realized the potential in this city , I became embraced with ideas and visions. I was driven and not just in the areas I was already involved in , but  with LIFE, with PEOPLE. I was  enriched by the culture and the opportunities.

A few months back I started writing down all my ideas and my partner Roger said to me " Babe, there is so much potential in these ideas..let me help you", so together we founded the company E.V.E.N.T ( An international Artists Company). Event stands for: Entertainment.Venues.Expertise.Notoriety.Talent.

I became Producer of the company and Roger De Leon became Creative Director. We wanted to support other artists.Local and International. Our company is an international and creative hub for artists, designers, musicians, and filmmakers to showcase a broad spectrum of untapped talent. EVENT strives to bring all forms of creative media to the masses in its pure and original form.

Each month, EVENT will  host  an “event” that will be themed, allowing artists from similar backgrounds to be showcased together and grow from each other’s knowledge or naivety of a subject matter.  These events would serve to benefit both the artists involved, by allowing them the recognition they deserve, as well as the individuals who would come to enjoy and be entertained. I was lucky enough to meet Patrick Lee and get the support from Alive not dead. What better person/ place to  get support from right?..I feel blessed to be here in HK, to be an artist on Alive not dead, to have met the people I have and I look forward to meeting other artists and like minded people.
