"Beijing! Beijing!" 「南京！南京！」再結集！

I met "Nanjing! Nanjing!" friends in Beijing... Here are the "Nanjing! Nanjing!" Japanese-speaker team...北京で「南京！南京！」の仲間たちと再結集しました。こちら日本人チーム。久々の日本語での語らい・・・
I love bitter melons....僕の大好きな苦瓜は欠かせません。
I had another meal with friends...夜は零下の世界、非常に寒かった。でもまた再会に出向いていきました。
At night, we love eating a Chinese Hot Pot!! It`s essential for this time of the year...夜はやはり中国の「火鍋」。
with an AnDer Sam. He is currently filming his own feature film!!

Visiting "Let the Bullets Fly" filming 姜文导演的《让子弹飞吧》探班@北京

Hi from freezing cold Beijing! I visited Jiang Wen’s filming location for his new film "Let the Bullets Fly" today. 凍えそうなほど寒い北京からこんにちは。今日は姜文監督の新作映画の撮影現場にお邪魔してきました。いつも北京に来ると、監督とは再会するのですが、今回はたまたま撮影が北京だったので、今年の5月以来半年振りの再会となりました。
He invited me to dinner with his crew between the shooting. To my surprise, he prepared a sashimi (raw fish） for me and one more guest from Japan. He knows we love sashimi and so does he!! He is such a generous and kind person. Since we worked on Devils on the Doorstep together more than 10 years ago, we have become good friends. Actually, he is a great senior at my drama school so I shouldn’t say he is a friend, he is my great teacher! I admire his works and warm personality very much. 最初の方はずっと撮影を拝見して、途中でご飯休憩になり、監督の部屋に呼ばれると、何と僕ともう一人のゲストのために、わざわざ刺身を取り寄せてくれてご馳走してくれました。監督自身も刺身は大好きですが、僕たちのために用意してくれるなんて、なんて優しいんでしょう。「鬼が来た！」の撮影でご一緒して以来、すっかり仲のいい友達のようになりましたが、実は母校の大先輩ですから、先生と呼ばなくては失礼ですね。でも、いつも温かく迎えてくれて、しかもいつもご飯付き！彼の作品と温かいお人柄にはいつも崇拝の念を抱いております。
Somehow the car which picked me up and the clipping board in the studio shows "火烧云 Burning Clouds"....Where on earth are the bullets gone.....?? なぜだかお迎えに来てくれて車のフロントガラスには「火焼雲」って書いてあったので、誰か違う組の人かと思ってわかりませんでした。でも現場に行くと、カチンコにもそう書いてあったので、名前が変わったんでしょうか？もともとの題名にあった「弾丸」はどこに行ってしまったんでしょうか？？
I can’t show any pictures about the filming in public at this stage, but it looks very interesting....Chow Yun Fat and Carina Law are also the cast in the film. I'm looking forward to seeing the film on screen. I might pop in to the location again if I have an opportunity to come back to Beijing soon. Does anyone offer me a job in China soon?? hahaha..... :-) まだ公開前ですので、撮影中の写真とは控えさせていただきますが、見ていてとても面白そうな現場でした、公開が楽しみですね。チョウ・ユンファとカリーナ・ラウも香港から参加のようですね。また中国に来る機会があれば、お邪魔したいと思いますが、今度は一体いつになるやら・・・誰か僕に中国に来る仕事のオファーないですか？？（笑）

New Samurai Film "Spiral" on Rehearsals

Hey everyone! The rehearsals for the new Samurai Film "Spiral" is ongoing right now. The actors I'm working with are the faces of familiar London actors, Akira and Kenji (AnD London members). There is also Mr. Masaki, who worked with us on "The Day of the Kamikaze", which is a BAFTA award winning documentary. Coincidentally I heard it was broadcast on TV last night!! It's always fun to work with friends.... 先日お伝えした新しいロンドン発の侍映画「Spiral」のリハーサルが連日行われています。メンバーはいつものAnDロンドン仲間、あきらさんとけんじさん。その他にも過去に共演した方々が一緒です。まさきさんとは「The day of the Kamikae」で共演しまして、つい昨日、また再放送されていたらしいです。この作品、実はBFTA受賞しているとか、初耳でした。みんな集まって非常に楽しい現場です。
Mr. Masaki is the guy standing in the middle. そのまさきさんは真ん中で立っている方です。
Actually, I used to go to Japanese sword fighting classes when I was working in Tokyo as an actor, but I remember nothing of it...hahaha...I never imagined I'd be involved in a Samurai fighting film in London. 日本時代にテレビドラマで時代劇に出演した時には、「殺陣」なんてものを数回習ったりしましたが、全くそれ以来、ロンドンに来てまでやるとは思っても見ませんでした（笑）
We taped our fighting choreography on video and checked if it's safe or not. It's a part of the risk assesement process; they say "Safety is of primary importance" in this kind of film. 先日の稽古ではカメラで撮って、実際の動きを確認したりしました。
I have a piece of news to tell you. I'm going to Beijing very soon. It was such short notice!! I rushed to a Chinese travel agency and booked my flight yesterday. Such a relief! I got a ticket. If I go to the Far East, I usually manage to visit Japan or HK. However we will shoot the film the week after next so I will just pop to Beijing this time. I don't know whether I have enough time to meet you in Beijing, but please stay in touch, Beijing AnD menbers!! I have no idea I can access to the internet at where I'm staying though...
突然ですが、実は僕、来週から1週間北京に行ってきます。突然行く事が決まったので、昨日慌ててチケットを買いに行って来ました。取れてよかった、ホッ。せっかく行くなら、4月ぶりの長時間フライトなので香港とか日本とかも組み合わせて少し長く行きたいのですが、実はこの撮影が再来週から始まるので、北京1週間だけでまたロンドンに戻ってきます。:-(
北京のAnDさんたちと会う時間があるのかな・・・しばらくネットできないかもしれません・・・

New Samurai Project from London ロンドン発の侍映画

We are acting in a new Samurai film in London soon. Almost all the members are very familiar faces. We have met in past projects before. 今回みんなで侍映画に出演する事になりました。久々に集まって、お久しぶりの近況報告。ほとんどが過去のプロジェクトで一緒だったみんなで懐かしい。
The sword master is, of course, Akira! 殺陣指導は、ロンドンの殺陣師あきらさん！何だかこれ、後ろの塔と刀、画になるよね！
It was a bit cold and windy outside today....
The AnD actors are Akira, Kenji and me....I'll keep updated.... AnDロンドンチームは、あきらさん、けんじさんと僕の3人。今日はかるく顔合わせということで、これからが楽しみ・・・また報告します。:-)

The Season for Japanese Hot Pots 鍋の季節･･･

Summer has ended. It's dull and cold London....depressing season has started....fortunately it has stopped raining.....夏は終わり、曇り空で寒いロンドンです。少し前まで毎日雨で、早くも少しうんざりでした。

It's time for Japanese to eat Japanese hot pots. そんな時には、少し早いですがお鍋ですね。友達も呼んで心も体も温まりましょう・・・

今、ロンドンのBAFTAでは新作邦画特集やってます。10分前なのに会場には誰もいない、一番乗り！今日は「がまの油 - Toad's Oil」という映画を観ました。役所広司さんの初監督作品でした。
席がJudi Denchさまさまの後ろでした・・・
着物の試着などもやっていましたが、去年よりも静かな気がする。来ている人も少ないし、出している人たちも少ない・・・
I passed through Oxford street today and noticed....今日、オックスフォードストリートを通し過ぎてビックリ。
They've already set up a Christmas illumination on the street! It's only October, is it too early or they are up for selling stuff from now?? もうクリスマスイルミネーションが飾られていました。え？また10月入ったばっかりでしょ。ちょっと気が早いんじゃないの？
I felt sore throat on my way back to home this evening. I'd better sleep early tonight... 真没劲 :-) 今日はジムの帰り、なんだか喉が痛い。早くねようっと・・・:-(
