Just want to share some of my favorite Southeast Asian bands.

Philippines

I used to be a fan of Rivermaya. Even though their former vocalist Bamboo left the band & Rico Blanco (Rivermaya's main songwriter) took his place, I still remained a fan. But it was until Rico's departure in 2007 that I know I'm no longer a fan. I mean, I still like them though, but I haven't been following their musical career after Rico left the band. It's a shame that he left, I was actually hoping to see them live. =(

Here's an all-time favorite, this was when Bamboo was still their vocalist.
I truly love this one, esp. the piano at the beginning of the song.

I'm not sure what '214' stands for, some say it means "Am I real" or "Feb. 14".

They performed this song in MTV Asia Awards 2006. There's two music videos for this song & this one's the first MV.

Thailand

I was a Thai music fanatic before I got hooked with Japanese music. I rarely missed an epsiode of MTV Bangkok Jam, hosted by the ever adorable VJ Utt.
The trouble is, now the show is long gone, you hardly find much info on Thai artists on the internet.
Here's a Thai band that I like called 'Blackhead', and I knew about them way back 2004 from the website ethaimusic.com, but until now I still don't know much about them.

When Blackhead's vocalist still have his hair long, he looks so much like Yusuke Iseya, especially on their video hetpon.
