My list of androgynous men, a response to AgnzM blog about pretty boy Lee Jun Ki.

Lee Jun Ki from "The King & The Clown". One of my few favorite korean films.

He looks so feminine. Too pretty, don't you think?



I hardly notice good looking guys unless they're celebrities, especially those with androgynous look. But not those whom you might mistake as drag queens with their heavy make-up & silly outfits, as most visual artists are.

Seriously, don't you ever wonder what they really look like? when they wake up? after they shower? do they stay pretty even without those heavy make-up?

Androgynous men I'm referring to are those who are naturally pretty with or without make-up, but still look masculine enough.

Yet with how plastic surgery is such a big fad now a days, we don’t know which of these guys are artificial beauties. (There were rumors that Kame Kazuya & Akanishi Jin have their doctors to thank for their looks).

And of course, there is Björn Andresen, hailed as the most beautiful boy.

I just found out about him this month when I was searching for old movies to watch. He plays the pretty boy Tadzio in the 1971 film “Death in Venice”.

I’ve read from wikipedia that his looks were the inspiration of many manga artists, especially of Keiko Takemiya.

i like mangas of takemiya and hagio moto. as you mentioned, surely their characters look like Bjorn. i read novel first and then saw a movie. i dont know how is he doing now.
as you know manga on "boys love" is popular among young women. there are so many bishonen like bjorn.

intentionally didn't include Gackt, but since you mentioned him, I might as well put him here. I like him, but sometimes, he tries too much to look pretty.

No posters or even a single photo can be seen on my room. And I never liked "the never ending story", but you're right about my inner world, its "so dark, so strange.."

Mike: But David Beckham & Andy lau don't look feminine at all. And yes, Andy's good looks not only have the women drooling over him, he's so handsome some men would go crazy about it.

i love david bowie, he's all sorts of awesomeness. and Hideaki Takizawa is a pretty good actor, i like his j-drama Antique Cake Shop. anyway, where are david beckham and andy lau? those men would turn me gay, hahahaha.

hmm I really wonder if your room or "inner world" is like a turbulent mix of "The Labyrinth" and "The Never Ending Story"-esque type thing, complete with David Bowie posters splattered over the walls. That would be very cool! - so dark, so strange, yet so 80's psychedelia! Rock on! haha

haha! that's why i mentioned that i like men who are androgynous & at the same time look masculine enough. I wouldn't date men who are too pretty that people might mistake us as lesbians, that would be sooooo WEIRD!
