  • Iliotibial band...

So as I work out now and train, I've been feeling a bit of knee pain.

This stems from Iliotibial band syndrome:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iliotibial_band_syndrome

As an avid runner and former monk boy, I should have known to take care of this. I remember the people who I trained with used to go really "old school" and stick their arms in these giant rolling pins. I did it too and it did help although it hurt initially. So you put two and two together, and so the quads need similar treatment. I'm not thinking of sticking my leg through the same type of press, but rolling on a foam tube will do the trick too.

If you go to a gym and you see people rolling on a foam cylinder, that's what they are doing...

Time to go roll some more later.

Knee issues.. bad news.. take care of them now.. my nana had to have knee joint surgery.. no fun at her age.
Luckily, my knees are just fine.. have issues with skinny "race horse" ankles.. reason I don't wear high heels much.. twisted ankle hazard.
