I’m always one for highlighting things I find are cool and/or hip.  Whether I actually am cool or hip I will let you decide that. Here’s my cool thing for the week. I used to work at a company called Turner Broadcasting Inc., who among all things great on TV had cartoon network.  It was a fun job where I got to immerse myself in the many properties that Turner had in their arsenal: Power Puff Girls, Dexter’s Lab, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy… but one of the new shows that I discovered when i got there was called Ben 10. I had never heard of the show before Turner, which instantly put me on the average 10 year old’s “lameo” list.

In my year working there, I learned that Ben 10 is one of the most popular cartoons on this Planet and I ended up watching it in 3 different languages.  It was the go to gift for any boy (and the occasional girl) between the ages of 5 and 12.  It spawned a pretty good live action film, Ben 10: Race Against Time (directed by Alex Winter aka. Bill from the Bill & Ted’s… movies).  Well a new series with Ben as a teenager came out called Ben 10: Alien Force.  It was also a pretty good show, and i actually thought it took what was good from Ben 10 classic and just made it more intense.  Ben 10: Alien Force has just completed it’s third season.

After the success of the first film, we all knew it was a matter of time they were going to make a new film attached to the Alien Force.  Well look no further than November cause that is when, Ben 10 Alien Force: Alien Swarm is released. Bigger film, bigger action and more aliens. It looking pretty cool, check out the trailer below.

Also the title song has been released and it’s a pretty hard rockin’ song.  A immensely small part of me thinks it is too hard and the drummer’s cymbals are set too high, but it like it. It’s really drives pretty hard.  Has a very Nickelback feel to the song with a much poppier sounding singer.  That is my assessment, check it out.  It’s by a band called There For Tomorrow… I think they’re gonna gonna do just fine.

Keep checking back here for more cool stuff.  Who knows you might actually like some of it!

    Cheers,
