  • R.I.P Michael Jackson..................

Today we lost a very talented musician and a very influential person. I was lucky enough to see Michael Jackson in Tokyo when he was there for the History tour, until now it's still one of the the best performance that I've seen.
The saddest part about losing Michael Jackson is even though he died today but the world we live in killed him inside a long time ago. The media has been making lots and lots of money killing him with the kinds of stories that are like cancer. I'm not going to judge Michael Jackson on what he did or how he lived his life. The only thing I want to talk about is the fact that we live in a very sick world today, filled with mainly negative news and tragic stories. If someone did something good, did some kind of charity or did something out of kindness to help someone. The media will not care about it, the newspaper most likely won't mention it, tv stations won't bother to report it, magazines only want to show half naked girls and other craziness that fills the world.
Is it the media's fault? Yes! Because they make a lot of money off other people's sadness and humility (why are photographers at press conferences always trying to take pictures of girls underwear?). There should be some kind of law that prohibits this kinds of photographs.
Is it the public's fault? Yes! Because for some sick reason, a lot of people care so much about what other people do and what embarrassments other people go through. It's like drugs, if there are no one using drugs, no one will be selling drugs. The type of news that we're filled with these days are like a drug, for some strange reason a lot of people are addicted to it.

Let's all try to put our strengths together and try to heal our sick world because we can't go on living like this!

Maybe it's time we listen to the song "Heal the World" again because I think Michael left us a great message in there.

Michael Jackson 1958-2009 "Gone too soon!"

It's awful how everyone is talking crap about him before AND after his death.

Before, they portrayed him as some scary guy that whitened his skin white and molested children.. when they don't even know the truth behind it.

And now they are making up false news about his death.

May this legend rest in peace.

It's so lamentable that press is only interested in the morbid topics instead of speaking about all the good things he made in his life... I hope he rests in peace...

I really enjoyed reading that, Jimmy... well said indeed... being someone who enjoys writing a great deal, I do understand that there is a lot of responsibility which comes with it... from a writer's point of view, when I write something I try to check that the facts are accurate, and I try to take into consideration how my piece might affect the person I'm writing about... but u know, I'm one of the lucky ones that can control what I choose to write, because I write it in my blog here at Alive Not Dead... there are many others who write for a living, and don't have that kind of a choice... if they don't write something worth reading or that can generate sales for the publication that they work for, then there goes their livelihood... so when push comes to shove the people with the real power are the readers who support these kinds of trashy publications... the media did not kill Michael, the general public did, with their appetite for sick news that may or may not even be true.

A great write-up Jimmy, I totally agree with you. Like Joyce Meyer's saying - 95% of the time when people hurt our feelings, that was not what they intended to do.

Who is to judge, who made him the man he is today? Who is to judge, if we'd turned back time and his childhood was a little different, a little sweeter...he'd still be such a phenomena.

The irony of life and its bumpy journey. But who is to judge, for who is perfect, except God Himself? Let those who judge be humbled and renewed, I pray. And our little ones be sheltered and blessed with sweeter childhoods.

Every one has the potential to make a difference, esp us children of God & salt & light of the world! Be greatly blessed!

I totally agree with you Jimmy!

Media is totally blowing it out of proportion by bringing out the old issues..i mean why can't they just let the guy rest in peace! Give the guy and his family some privacy...it bizzare with the kind of stuff they are showing on Tv...it's only been 24 hrs...and they are digging out all the old stories again...Media is so cruel and SICK...they are trying to make money off a dead man...why can't they let him leave in peace!!!

The Media is so gonna create a ruckus over..they want to know about his children...the kids shouldn't have to go through this...this world is SICK...some ppl just enjoy seeing other suffering and that is very sickening!

I just pray for his family and kids..may he rest in peace!
MJ will always be the King of Pop and I pray his soul rest in peace!
