thanks jijigugu. this is my fave so far, too. i just got a bunch of photos taken by rowena, or "butter" on this site... she's in nyc too. how's your thesis work going?

yeah, i have to admit i have a little bit of a problem. LOL. it's kind of funny. i have some addictive behaviors. and it doesn't help that my parents are not kicking me out of the house. but something good is coming from this... for one thing, this past year, i have caught up on so much in america. even during grad school, i was going through culture shock and wasn't following american politics or news or media. so this whole year, all i've been doing is reading. reading. reading. mostly on the internet. and also, frankly, being online on this site is the most i've ever been around chinese people in my life, aside from in beijing! so it's been worth something. but i really have to stop myself very soon.

oh, no, i mean, i think i have to get off this site b/c it's actually become a big distraction from my work. i have to try to get off the internet and lock myself at home (NJ) to complete some of my work.

btw, just want to make sure you know - people only comment on other people's blogs if you go around and comment on theirs or say hi first... i'm sure you sort of got that, but probably don't have time to do that... i spend time on this site b/c i'm being lazy, but i will have to get off soon, for a few months, maybe
