Sneezing

It's been a while...
HOW ARE YOU?!
Anywayz, was going through Twitter a while ago and saw someone's twit saying she's been trying to sneeze with her eyes opened but failed. The received wisdom states that if you don't blink when you sneeze, your eyes will propel out of your head. A whole load of hooey.
Here's an explanation: A sneeze is simply an involuntary nervous response to nasal irritation. During a sneeze, the impulses that travel through your face cause your eyelids to blink. This response is entirely automatic. There's nothing you can do about it. Sneezing puts a lot of pressure on your head and respiratory system, so blinking is probably a protective mechanism.
My sneeze is rather weird. It runs in my family. They go in a chain...a pretty long chain. For the record, I sneezed approximately 18 times in a row. Not the forceful ones that bounce you off due to G-force, of course, but they're still sneezes. Haha!
I succeeded in keeping the eyes opened for the first few tries. Thankfully, both the eyes are still attached. Mind trying?

For the first time, I sat in for a 5 hour long meeting.
Spaced a couple times in between.
It was agonizing.
It's 12.42am now and I'm still working.
The long working hours have resumed like how it used to be. Work usually lasts till the wee hours. I bunk, get up at 8ish and head for work again.
The boss thinks that getting in before 10 even if you've been working your life out the night before is not too much to ask for. I nod. Time to face and accept the true colors of advertising.
Such a joy it is. LOL...kidding.
I told myself I'd stay for a year in this company before I move on.
It's been 9+ months now. 7 at the old department and 2 at where I am now.
Out of the blues, I received a call from this huge development company asking if I'm interested, working as a corporate communications executive. WHY NOT?!
So I attended the interview, scored a second one and am arranging for it at the end of the month.
God knows where this will head.
OK back to work.

Oh yeah HARRY POTTER ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watched it last night and bawled buckets. Not gonna spoil the film here now but...I reckon the ending should've been slightly more elaborate. And for the first time, I think Daniel Radcliffe IS acting. AhHAHA!
Don't compare it to the book though.

The Test

I was feeling feverish this morning.
I feel flushed at times and I was pretty concerned that it had to do with my blood pressure. Both the colleagues that I had lunch with yesterday are down with flu. The doctor said that my throat's inflammed and sent me home. WOOT. Downside of it, my BP's pretty high. It was 140/94 this morning which...
. So I decided to take a blood test immediately. The doctor did not wanna rule out any possibilities. Told me it might be in the genes (which I'm sure it's not cause my parents are fine...so were my grans). I'm just wondering if it had to do with my cholesterol...or kidney...or liver...and the list goes on...forever.
Results to be out hopefully on Thursday.
Fingers crossed.

I'm sorry the subject matter sounds pretty crude...harsh...gross. (It means 'Have you eaten shit?') LOL
It's just a little belief that my grandmother used on us when we were younger. You know how little kids or babies hiccup after meals and it's either parents pat their back softly, feed them water or rather just wait it out it'll go off after a while?
My grandma used to just throw that statement at us when we had hiccups. She would be joking and telling stories at one point and all of a sudden she'll just shoot...'SIK JOH SI AR?!' when we start hiccuping. That was what my mom told me awhile back because I had no memory of it at all. Goldfish memory I'm sorry. LOL.
Well I never really believed it. At least I thought it was all rough beliefs. Until my niece was born. And I decided to just...give it a try.
. About 2 weeks back when the little girl just recovered from her flu, she began to hiccup after milk and it lasted pretty long. Water and pats did not work...almost resorting to making her breathe in a paper bag. . Mom's story flashed past my mind and I just casually asked...'Sik Joh Si Ar?'...SURPRISINGLY, IT WENT OFF!!!
...Dad and I started laughing hysterically. It worked for a few other occasions soon after as well. I had a sudden hiccup today while driving after work. Got irritated by it and just screamed the same old statement to myself. It...went off too.
SO TRY IT!!! (With parental guidance though. AhHAhA)
