Got off work really early today.

Had to get my boss' approval although she didnt' seem too happy that I got to leave earlier than her. I guess this is the 3rd time I'm leaving earlier without her throwing her unfinished business to me when all she does is to go home for dinner with her Dad. Ptah!!! Anyway, I couldn't give a damn and left after completing all my work for today. Headed to the Gynae for a long awaited HPV Vaccine.

Paranoia attacks during hospital visits as I had palpitation before this and was wondering if it required a complete checkup before I'm being allowed to receive the vaccine. My BP and pulse were recorded (all turned out fine THANK GOD) and my sister and I were both called into the room.

The doctor was really patient. Sis took the vaccine after her papsmear turned out good and it was my turn. She had to leave for another room as my niece was there for her routine vaccination too. So I took my time and lifted the weight off my heavy chest when he convinced me that my heartbeat rates were healthy and I wouldn't need a checkup yet unless I sweat profusely or the palpitation becomes regular, exceeds 100 and lasts for a really long time. *gulps*...I told him I'm a real paranoid I monitor my heartbeat everytime after meals and every now and then. He laughed, pat my back and told me to relax. LoL!!!

Anyway, the vaccine's said to be 99% effective if taken between ages 9-26. There are 2 types, the Gardasil and Cervarix and apparently the Gardasil is for the younger people therefore I had that. It's already mandatory in the states and UK and I don't see a reason why anyone would opt not to go for it. It's slightly pricey I agree but then to safe a little and have your life guaranteed...isn't it wiser? Alright it might not be absolutely effective but then at least we've done our responsibility!

    SO TAKE YOUR JABS GALS!!!

Digressing, I have got this really irritating unit manager that blends in completely well with my boss. They're both a liability to the company that has no idea what DATELINE means and all they do when a situation occurs is to yell and whine in the office. GOSH!

So this was what happened. I had to drive a couple days back for a meeting and I was already prepared they'd just pick on how bad I am in roads and directions and etc...Dad told me not to get to harsh while speaking to them as he knows I'm pretty outspoken and therefore, I try (at most times) to hold back. But she really topped my nerves when she touched a topic regarding my dog.

She had a dog too...named Scott, her mother's it seems. And she went on telling how she isn't really a dog person but kept it really well groomed for the sake of making her mom happy and the old lady was really devastated when Scott just ran away from home one day and decided to...not return. So I shared my story saying how Max jumped into my Dad's car one day in town and we decided to adopt her although she was really in a bad shape with chunks of fur gone and thin to her bones. She went...

'OOO!! Now I know where my Scott went! You must have kidnapped her, you dog napper!'

I'm not really sure if she was joking but she's already triggered me a few times in the car with her obnoxiosu comments on my driving, life, car, family and as far as you can go...when she herself...just cries when things go bad. I was so pissed I just went...

'Unless your Scott is castrated, I'm pretty sure it won't happen'.

She kept quiet for the rest of the journey.

    I'm pretty prone to injuries

I used to get injured a lot during badminton and army trainings. I kicked the ladder once during swimming sessions and my whole nail chipped. I'll even walk across the room and whack my little toe onto the edge of the bed. I'm just clumsy.

I was getting slightly impatient in the office the other day as my manager left and handed over the junk for me to follow up and I had to hang on doing nothing until my creatives were done with their work before mailing it to our client for approval. I tried shifting positions various times before banging my knee onto the table that shook the entire ground...Some other colleagues thanked me cos I awoke them. LoL!! It hit the bone and it became numb for a moment from pain. I came home and massaged it with my knuckles and HEY! the pain was fun. AhHAhAH!!

Anyway, after a whole night of pressing and...maybe injuring it further, it turned out to be like this!

    I'm gonna...keep massaging. HAHAhHA!!

Have a great weekend ahead everyone!!!!!!!!

  • The World's Celebrating...

Honestly, I'm not an American, but I feel the joy.

Everyone was practically in jovial moods in the company after reading the outstanding stats received by Obama. His winning speech was pretty touching and I'm not sure if my hormones were acting up but I almost teared!!! ...It's as though we've got a new president of the world. LoL! How influencial.

It's really not something that only involves the Americans. America recovers, so will the world. And speaking from a point of view of someone living in a country that equality is damned, that special rights of one single religion is enshrined in the constitution...we really need more people like Obama.

I guess Daniel Wu must be celebrating heaps as well...with the amount of posts he's spent on showing his never-ending support for his president. LoL!

    ------------------------------------------

It's really not difficult to capture her smile...

    Even when she's asleep. AhHAhAH!!!

    Max's Grave

    This was taken on Saturday.

Parents went on a routine check on her a while ago and realized that the wooden sheets have been removed, flowers gone and the soil looks losen. Which imbecile on earth would be so bitter to actually do that?!?! It's situated at a corner below a tree, away from everyone and bothering nobody at all!!

It was raining the other day and I dashed to the front door, wanting to call her in before she catches a cold or wet...but then I stood there alone, staring at the empty porch. No more chasing her around just to get her big butts in and neither do I have to keep her warm in my room when we're the only ones home. I'm all alone.

I've never shed so much tears over something. In fact I barely cry...but...Sigh.
