I hooked up with my Seymour brethren recently in my home away from home, also known as San Fran-friggin-cisco! As always, it was too cool for school.
Aside from chilling like villains, I decided to make a stop over at our newly opened studios to "see more" at Seymour. Check it out at the Pink Amigo.

Just flew back recently from Tijuana, Mexico and boy are my arms tired! HA HA...dangnabbit, my jokes are so lame. Just give me a pity laugh and I'll be happy.
Speaking in front of five hundred people at the Esquina Norte design conference was undoubtedly a nerve wracking experience. I was literally shaking in my boots, but all in all it was an amazing experience. Big thanks to Jhoana and everyone else for putting together such a great event for the students of Tijuana!
Read on here at the Pink Amigo.

I will be speaking at the Esquina Norte design conference this Friday in Tijuana, Mexico. So, if you happen to be in town then stop on by to say "hello!"
If you don't know about the conference, then here are some little tidbits to wrap your head around:
Esquina Norte is the most anticipated design conference of Mexico's northwest region, it's a series of interactive seminars and hands-on-training courses celebrated every fall in Tijuana.
Eight successful editions have turned Esquina Norte into a wide community of academics, students, and professionals who intensely expand their minds in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of dialogue with internationally known creators, within a unique atmosphere.
Aside from yours truly, Esquina Norte will boast headers such as Gary Baseman, Fernanda Cohen, 123 Klan, Estevan Oriol, MK12, Studio Number One, amongst others.

My good buddy, Cson, sent me this via her camera phone the other day.
Lo and behold, it turns out I got ripped off by some magazine in China.
Its kind of a bad rip too...
It tickled my funny bone in more ways than one, so I decided to share the joy with the rest of you.

Lürzer's Archive just released their new edition of the "200 Best
Illustrators Worldwide" book and yours truly has two special places in
its heart. This is the second 200 best Ilustrators book that I've been
lucky enough to be included in!
If you don't know about these amazing books, read this little tidbit about it below from the Archive site:
Do
not simply be content with any kind of illustration. The 200 Best
Illustrators is the perfect tool for those wishing to turn their
advertising into little works of art.
Numbering no less than 292 pages, this impressive volume showcases the world's best illustrators.
The latest edition boasts an excellent mix of familiar names and new
talents. Just 49 illustrators featured in the previous two issues
managed to keep their place in the current 200 Best, and are now joined
by 152 new artists. Selection was made from 4,716 submissions received
from 44 countries.
And there was a further hurdle to scale before submissions could even
be considered. Only those nominated by an ad agency art director or a
publisher were eligible to present work - which must have appeared
within the last 18 months - to the two-tier jury. Those who made it
through this arduous process truly do merit the title "200 Best
Illustrators."
So what are you waiting for? Run, walk, or skip to your local book seller and pick up a few for you and your buddies.
Or pick it up online here.
