• Desi's back in Hong Kong

  For the past 3 weeks my girlfriend Desi and our friend Stephen have been visiting me in Hong Kong.  Here are a few photos...
  
  
  This was on the AnD boat trip that got rained out.  It was still fun though.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Desirae finally got to hang out with our cat Squid.  They took to each other very fast.. I'm kinda jealous.

  One of my favourite things to do in HK is to sit on the harbour front in Tsim Sha Tsui and drink beers from 711.  It's cheap and you get to see the most amazing skyline.  I was so happy to finally be able to do that with Desi last night.  Here's a photo of the view we had.

  This is mine and Desi's first attempt at stop-motion animation.

  Apparently there's another Jason Tobin running around opening bank accounts, taking out credit cards and getting physiotherapy under my name!
  
  I have unknowingly been the victim of identity theft for the last couple of years and I'm currently sorting through the mess.  It only came to my attention earlier this year when a collection agency contacted me about a credit card that I had absolutely no recollection of.  Anyway to say it's been a monumental pain in the ass would be an understatement.
  
  Instead of boring you with the details of my case I'm posting up these insightful and entertaining videos as they illustrate the ease with which one can steal your identity.

  What really sucks about this situation is that banks and credit card companies make it so easy for your identity to be stolen by sending out credit applications that fill up your mailbox every day.  Then it's up to you to prove you're innocent.  So much for innocent until proven guilty.

  Yo JJ! Your hair is long! Hope all's good man. Yeah, been traveling a lot this past year. Picked up an HD camera and decided to just shoot for a day in every place. Kind of a one man show. Shot, edited, and hosted. Kinda crazy technology these days. 1 camera, 1 laptop and you got a mobile studio. How's it in HK. LA is still... LA.
