I  enjoyed the BBQ at my friend's apartment house on Monday night. It was a holiday and more than 60 people were coming. Because the rooms were full, I was on the terrace with the guys who took on the role of cook. A banker from US, a scrīptwriter from India and so on. Actually they were very nice! Needless to say i promoted AnD to all!!

It was a sultry night. and was thirsty with talking a lot. So seemed to drink anything I could get my hands on ; beer, red wine, champagne, brown tea's liqueur, Shaoxing wine, just like drinking water. coming home in a good mood, I went to bed at once with my eyes heavy with drink.

As a result, got a hangover in the morning!!!!!!  was hasy and didnt feel like getting about too much. in a bad mood all day~~~ .   It  says "二日酔い(futsuka Yoi) "in Japanese langage.I dont know about medical reason, but the headache surely becomes worse, if you take "Miso Soup" in the next morning (Miso soup is in commonfor breakfast).

Well, could you tell me any remedy?

PS  Maggie, now you see what the word ‘hangover'  means lol

hangovers, i think, happen because your body is dehydrated. miso soup is high in sodium isn't it? so it wouldn't help your dehydration. perhaps if you drank a sports drink, or water, something with a lot of electrolytes but low in sugar and sodium would help a hangover most.

Oh beautiful Tokyo tower! Did your hangover fade away? I repulse a hangover by such a method. About 1 hour to take the shower which is not hot from a head. Or 錠剤薬(ハイチオールC)が二日酔いには効きますよ(笑)

that's really terrible experience. well, hangover, haha, i don't think I had a hangover before. Just the opposite, I got drunk first, then after a sleep, guess what ?nothing seems to have happend! haha

a suggestion : If you are already drunk don't drink tea, that will do harm to your stomach.

    遅ればせながら・・・大変でしたね。でもとっても楽しそう。最近はちゃんぽんすると必ず二日酔いです。前はそんなことなかったのになあ。加齢とちゃんぽんの関係って?(笑

I don't really drink anymore but I used to try to pop some headache medicine before I went to sleep to keep the hangover at bay.  It seemed to work.  I always thought Shaoxing wine was more for cooking than drinking for some reason :)

    bummer I love miso soup.

my step fathers hangover cure was (I haven't tried it myself)
    - fill a tall glass with ice
    - fill with soda water
    - put a dash of creme de menthe in
    enjoy
    he swore by it.
I hope you are feeling better now

Oh, my GOLD.... I hope, what you not strongly suffered????!!!!! On the future, try to not stir alcoholic drinks.... Generally there is a set of ways to get rid from  hangover a syndrome.... Hot and liquid food, but not sharp and without special spices.... Best of it soup from the beef stomach with an onions, but only that prepared... Marinade from under cucumbers and tomatoes but where there is no a lot of vinegar, differently you will receive irritation of a stomach... The small quantity of alcohol (as they say " a wedge a wedge knock out ") and set of others sometimes helps.... But I ask you, not drink SO much... I worry about yours health, my GOLD...

Oh dear...I've never had hangover before cos I don't drink but from TV soaps I watched they always say have a cup of chinese tea in the morning. Actually I think there may be some kind of tea specially for hangover?!

    Lovely view from the apartment.

The only cure I know that's best for a hangover is 'the hair of the dog', which technically means having another drink.
