Hello, AnD friends!!!!!!! Sorry I haven't updated in a very long time. will start again little by little beginning by thanking all for your concern and support for the disaster areas.
as you know Lady Gaga is in Japan for charity concert tour. after MTV concert on Saturday, she will visit Tohoku areas. This year the rainy season set in later than usual in Tohoku. hope the heavy rainfall will not worry victims any more.
in Tokyo it has been so hot and humid that if you don't have an air conditioner, you can't sleep. however, we should save electricity to avoid the threat of major blackout as a result of the crisis at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant. TEPCO. Tokyo Electric Power Co. ,begins
electricity forecasts, urges power saving steps. The government and many companies are already working on ways to save it.
so what should I do?
hehe, I have planted Goya, traditional summer vegetable of Okinawa, in a planter..
actually Goya is easy to grow at home and creates natural green curtain to block heat. this season it becomes so popular and i couldn't get any seeds so far. at last I happened upon tiny plants at nearby flower shop. I can hardly wait until it bear a lot of Goya, bitter gourds!!
Goya Chanpuru, okinawan stir fry,is my favorite.
It is said eating Goya helps to beat the summer heat
two weeks earlier I planted some veges.
do you know what kind of plants?
answers...
eggplant
and Edamame beans. are growing well though i hardly care for them.
I remember. when i grew blueberries, the birds ate all unripened berries :-p do you have good idea to keep the birds away from my planters?
