• 読書の秋 -reading books on long autumn nights-

  What do you associate the word,"autumn(秋）",with?
  According to a web reseach in Japan, most of those associated with "食欲の秋"（working up an appetite in autumn) 　It's the harvest time!!!  The season for saury, matsutake mushroom, chestnut, persimmon, new rice and etc.etc....                  

  The rest answers were as follows.  ②読書の秋(reading books)　③スポーツの秋 (sports)  ④芸術の秋（arts)    ⑤紅葉の秋（colored leaves)....        They are peculiar to us? How about  yours?

  

  

  I  went to the party celebrating the publication of new books held by Shinchosha, a major publisher founded in 1896. It is said that the books have been selling poorly in recent years, but they were delighted with the full house it drew. the novelists and writers were appeared in the party as a guests: Jiro Asada( the bestseller, original novelist of Poppoya/鉄道員 and 白蘭/Love Letter),  Mayumi Yamazaki( hot spring critic/Yokoso Japan Ambassador),Kotaro Sawaki(nonfiction writer, novelist,photographer) and more.There were lots of sections dividing books according to type.

  ■Maps : In these years the maps of the rail travel are selling well. The boom is not likely to subside.

  The middle one was written by Taro Aso, the front-runner in the prime minister election.He is known as a manga/anime otaku. haha

  蒼天の拳 (Soten no Ken/Fist of the Blue Sky) is a prequel to "北斗の拳/Fist of the North Star".
  As one of the events for the 25 anniversary of "Fist of the North Star",the wedding like ceremony named "結魂式" of Kenshiro and Yuria was held last week.  As you know new anime will be screened from October 11.

  At the end of the party, they gave us souvenir, a cute book cover and a louper. Thanks. Actually the panda is ad character of this company. And can you see a panda pin, a gift from my friend who had been to Beijing Olympics?
