  • hello..

    Wednesday, Jan 2, 2008 5:30AM / Standard Entry

Hello everyone!! Happy new year! I just arrived yesterday. Was so tired & sleepy!! The first thing we did when we got back was to have lunch at the mall, and did some groceries. We didn’t actually celebrated New Year, I had to unpack my things & clean my room during the evening, took a shower then watched the countdown for 2008 on TV. So, welcome 2008!! Our neighbors were having parties & fireworks ‘til the end of dawn. For the past couple of years, we always experience free fireworks display on the 3rd floor of our home, thanks to our neighbors that is! Boy, did I fell asleep the moment I went to bed.

Vacation was alright, lots of food trips, & had plenty of reuniting w/ my cousins & best friends. My cousins, siblings & I went to 2 different amusement parks. The last one was kind of fun, we went there on the 24th, & it was too crowded, but it’s okay. Their rides were really thrilling. The first thing we did was to enter a haunted house (?), we were too excited that we didn't even realize what we're getting into, not even expecting of what’s really inside.

Oh my, we have to walk through the darkness with some creepy figures coming out in every corner of the hall to freak the hell out of us!  I had to cling on to my male cousin who’s 7 years younger than me! I tell you, it’s no use sticking to my female cousins, they were more scared than I was. They even had to pull my bag & jacket from behind, that when I reached the exit I look like a ghost, w/ my hair, bag & clothes all messed up! Funny thing was, Juhana wasn’t aware that this Korean guy, who was behind us, was clinging onto her; she thought it was our female cousin the whole time!

And of course, I was so grateful meeting up with my two best friends, Eaman & Lovely. It’s amazing to see how our 12 – year friendship had been even better despite the distance that we had since we parted ways. Nothing have really changed, except that they're both married. My bestest friend Eaman is always asking me to pray for her to have a baby, & I do hope she'll be able to have her wish this year.

Last stop, we went to a mall where they sell nice clothes, shoes, bags, etc. in a very, very affordable price where you could even bargain! Can you imagine some people buy wholesales there & sell them twice, even thrice the price at their respected stores?! I’m not really fond of shopping, but when you could buy more than the new clothes you need w/out a pain on your budget, then I may learn to love it!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usSo, that’s how my simple vacation went. Thanks so much to everyone who greeted me on the holidays, here’s a million hugs for you all!!! I really mean it, thank you for remembering me!! I missed everyone!

P.S. I promise to get back on my feeds when I have enough energy. Would that be okay? May we all have a more meaningful year to live by. God bless.

  • see ya..

    Friday, Dec 21, 2007 1:33AM / Standard Entry

Heya.. this day was such a haste for me, we were planning to go out of town w/ the family on the 24th of December, but then my mom decided to advance our trip yesterday on the 21st! that’s actually today,  it’s already 1:45 a.m. here!
Whew, I had to think rationally on what to pack, so I brought just a few clothes & decided to buy some new ones when we get there, since everything is on sale during this season.

To add up to this whirlwind situation, we’ll be riding together w/ my cousins to the airport, & one of them has to be there super early to have her ticket so we have to leave at 5:45 in the morning even if my family’s flight is actually at 10:35! I hate having lack of sleep!
Anyways, I won’t be logging in for about 10 days, probably before the new year. So, once again, have a wonderful holidays! I’ll be catching up w/ my feeds when I get back.
Time to go to bed; we’ll be leaving in about 4 hours from now. See ya! Mwaahs!

    THANKS PEACHEY!!!

This is the first set of 10 questions to a set of 20.

You may post your answers as a comment to this blog, or answer them in your own blog.

    1. Explain what ended your last relationship.

*Never had one. why? read my previous blog:

    http://www.alivenotdead.com/23005/viewspace_40807.html

    2. When was the last time you shaved?

    * my eyebrows? Can't remember. I'm trying to make them grow.

    3. What were you doing at 8 a.m. this morning?

    *Sleeping like a baby.. Zzzz..

    4. What were you doing 15 minutes ago?

    *answering & posting this blog.

    5. Some things you are excited about?

*This December, after 14 years I'll be going back to visit my 1st home, Saudi Arabia! Yay!

Well, I don’t feel any excitement yet, don’t know why, but maybe by next week, I’ll be able to feel it, & probably I wouldn't be able to sleep. haha.

(EDITED: it's been  postponed for next year. Maybe that's the reason why I'm not excited.)

    6. What is your favorite flavor of Jello?

    *The orange & red flavor.

7.Your prom night, what do you remember about it?

*3rd year, we pretended not to attend (to surprise some people?) Lol.

My mom did my make up, I just wanted to look natural, my dress was also too simple.

The electricity went out & we even started a food fight (it wasn't that messy at all) & at the end of the party while me & my friends are on stage taking photos, I didn’t notice some of our batch & some senior guys were taking our photos too. I felt like a celebrity!

4th year, I transferred to another school. Their prom was too formal. We followed every prom ritual there is. You know that part where the teachers or adviser will address a character or traits of a senior student that’ll be pass on to a junior? Forgot what it’s called, but anyhow, I got some good comments from them, they even envisioned me being a dermatologist! (oh yeah, they 've got such wild imagination!)

    8. Do you have any famous ancestors?

    *Not that I’m aware of..

    9. Last thing received in the mail?

    * =D

    10. How many different beverages have you had today?

    *3: Milk Tea, Coffee, Water

    "THE CRY OF A MOTHER"

     By Nadia Sayed

I am the one who is so poor

I am the one who is so miserable

    Can anyone feel my misery?

I am the one who feels a pain, a harsh pain in my heart

I am the one who suffers disappointment everyday, every hour, every minute.

    Do you feel that pain?

I am the one who has to bury my own children

    My innocent and helpless children.

    Bury her own children..

Do you understand how it feels to bury

    Innocent and helpless children?

I am the one who is injured and has to treat my own injuries

I am the one who has to wipe my own tears.

Do you know how it hurts when you are ..... injured?

I am the one who watches bleeding bodies,

Needy hands, tearful eyes, and broken hearts every second,

I am the one who has to wake up with the sound of weapons.

    Have you ever.....

Touched bleeding bodies, dried tearful eyes, felt needy hands

Heard the terrible sounds of weapons?

I am the one who lives alone, who is not alive, who is not dead

I am the one who is helpless

Have you ever felt you are... helpless, alone?

I am the one whose heart is broken and whose eyes are tearful

I am the one who has gone with the wind

Has anyone ever broken your heart?

Where are my children, my innocent and helpful children?

Why have they left me alone?

How does a mother feel when she looses her children?

    Do you know.....

How a mother feels when she sees the empty bed, the tiny clothes.....

Where are my lovely nights and pleasant morning?

Where is my sky, my blue and bright sky?

    Who will help me?

    Who will treat my injuries?

    Come my lovely children,

    Don't leave me alone,

    Don't forget me.

Do you know who I am?

    I am a mother.

I am the one who lost my child..

    The battle for power continues

And the innocent pay for it WHY?

    .....Because some are too greedy.....

    EVER WONDER WHY?

    by Unknown

Why a Jew can grow his beard and he is just practicing his faith and he has his freedom,

But when Muslim does the same, he is an extremist and terrorist?!

Why a nun can be covered from head to toe and she is respected for devoting herself to God, But when Muslimah does the same she is oppressed and they are reactionary!

When a western woman stays at home to look after her house and kids she is respected because of sacrificing herself and doing good for the household,

But when a Muslim woman does so by her Will, because Islam don't prevent Muslim women from work they say, "she needs to be liberated"!

Any girl can go to university wearing as she need and have her rights and freedom,

But when Muslimah wears Hijab (veil) they prevent her from entering university!

When a child dedicates himself to a subject he has potential, But when he dedicates himself to Islam he is hopeless!

When a Christian or Jew kills someone, religion is not mentioned, but when Muslim is charged with a crime, it is Islam that goes to a trial!

When someone sacrificing himself to keep others life, he is a noble one and all respects him.

But when a Palestinian do that to save his son from being killed, his brother's arm being broken, his mother being raped, his home being destroyed, and his mosque being violated, He gets the title of terrorist! Why? Because he is Muslim!

When there is a trouble we accept any solution, Only if the solution is in Islam, we refuse without having a look at this solution.

When someone drives a perfect car in a bad way no one blame the car.

But when any Muslim makes a mistake or treats people in a bad manner - people say

    "Islam is the reason"!

Without looking to the tradition of Islam, why people believe what the newspaper say,

But question what the Quran says!

  • Favorite Actress..

    Sunday, Nov 18, 2007 4:00AM / Standard Entry

Favorite actress? Hmm... There are only two names that will come into my mind, that would be Audrey Hepburn & Zhang Ziyi.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usOlivia Hussey could also be one; I wish I have her face. Lol.

Anyway, she have impressed numbers of people at a very young age for her beauty & superb acting on her role as Juliet Capulet from my all - time favorite movie Romeo & Juliet (Franco Zeffirelli;1968).

This was with Leonard Whiting, who in real life became Olivia’s boyfriend..

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usOlivia Hussey did really well also w/ her role as the Virgin Mary in “Jesus of Nazareth” & as well as "Mother Theresa".

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Zhang Ziyi, admirably talented.

She manages to look & act tough yet be gracefully beautiful with her roles. It’s kind of ironic that although I’ve been an avid fan of her, & I’ve seen most of her movies, I never really paid much attention to the movie which brought her fame, & that is “crouching tiger, hidden dragon”. I’ve seen parts of the movie, but I didn’t really get to watch the beginning & mostly the middle part of it. I’ve been wanting to watch "Jasmine Women",  basing on its trailer & synopsis, it’s one movie I won’t dare to miss, but I just can’t find a copy of it here! sigh..

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Audrey Hepburn, such a legendary actress.

Not only that I love & respect her as an actress of various classic movies that I really so fond of watching, but because she exemplifies the real meaning of TRUE beauty, & that is her kindness of heart. She was a person who contributed a lot of humanitarian works dedicated for children around the world, particularly w/ her contributions on UNICEF.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Has she not died of Cancer, I think she has continued more on helping & inspiring people Audrey Hepburn is an image of Pure kindness & Beauty; Her spirit lives on for years now, in our minds, hearts, & souls. She is such an inspiration to many and has loved by all up to this very moment.

edited: I guess I'll include Gong Li on my list too. doesn't she look so pretty at her age?
