I am here house/dog-sitting for my aunt. 1 day down, 4 more to go.
Today was "okay" I guess. I just hope that they keep up with this "good" behavior. **Keeping fingers crossed**

I did wake up a lot last night though. and the big dog went to the vet on Saturday, so he's on medication. so I have to make sure he eats up the pills I put in the food. This morning he "smelled" the pill in the food, so I ended up having to stuff the pill down his throat. I hope I won't have to do that again. haha...

anyways, I've been dozing on and off today as I wait for the "ever-so-slow internet" to load up the page. So I haven't had much time to read my feeds yet. Sorry. Hopefully I'll get to them some time soon. Take care everyone!!

Ya know, they make this really great, all natural doggie sedatives called "Quiet Moments." Just  saying... (We give them to Dash for car rides cuz he's got some anxiety)

My method of pill administering: Pill and treat in hand. Open mouth, toss/jam pill to the back, hold mouth shut with treat in front of nose. Dog salivates like mad and has to swallow. Bye pill! If treats aren't doing it, try some cheese.

AHHH!! I used to hate it when I had to stuck the pill down my dog's throat. Had to massage it down after that. Gruesome. Le sigh

Sounds like a tough job, never seems easy to get pets to have their medication. Look after yourself, fingers crossed the time goes quickly.

Peanut butter is a good way to hide pills for dogs.  So...you're counting down the days...pretty soon you'll be counting down the hours!  Hang in there!

Good luck with the dogs!  Hopefully the dog will take the pill with food tomorrow, I hate stuffing pills down dog's throats, had to do that with my dog before and he puked :(
