This is my first alive not dead blog entry! I'm really excited about joining this community and hooking up with all the wonderful people I met in HK recently =). My first blog will be more informational then personal but there will be more to come...!
In case any of you are in Northern Cali, the Asian American Film Festival is happening in San Francisco March 13-23. http://festival.asianamericanmedia.org/2008/ It looks like there are going to be some fantastic movies, documentaries and even some black and whites. It's pretty exciting because some of the actors will actually be there in person. I'll probably check out West 32nd (in person: John Cho), The killing of a chinese cookie (in person: Director Derek Shimoda) and Blood Brothers (in person: Danny Wu), maybe the Closing Night Showing and Gala or party at Poleng.
Anyway, just thought I'd post this so Bay Area folks can support the Asian American arts from the Bay!
That's the info for the party. We're not heavily promoting it yet because it only came together in the last few days. Basically, for festival VIPs and people who attend the Blood Brothers screening. Hope you can make it!
Hi there! Hey, welcome on-board after all this time! I'm glad to see that you're checking out the film festival -- unfortunately I won't be back, but be sure to check out our [alive not dead] party on Friday after Blood Brothers.
