  After checking out the BBC website i came across the preparation they are doing for the Olympics and they have commissioned graphic artist Jamie Hewlett who did the Graphic animation for the band  Gorillaz

  to designed the characters fronting their coverage of the Olympics in Beijing these are based  upon the old TV programme which was known as 'Monkey Magic'.

  I remember watching this programme with my older brother and watching with fascination at the badly dubbed english and being amazed at how they were able speak without opening their mouths. We both would then drive my mother crazy by speaking in 'Monkey Magic'. come to think of it I can still channel the voice after a few drinks.I just adored it and would shuffle right up to the TV every week to watch it i don't think i had a clue what was happening but enjoyed the fight scenes.

  Every evening i switch on the news or read the papers and it is all doom and gloom economically speaking higher patrol prices (at this rate i will be swapping my mini for a Flint stone model)  higher food   prices  and to top it off according to the news my house is slowly losing monetary value each passing day. God forbid i can't afford to go on a long haul  summer holiday and have to holiday in England due to the higher fuel prices no longer Phuket but Skegness noooooooooooo.

  The Hedge Fund Boys are apparently the cause of my problem

  So i decided to re read the book above .................................

  I hardly ever throw a good book away and this one is a good read if you want to have an understanding of how the Hedge Funds/financial markets work. It  is  an a ccount of the authors  time working for the Salomon Brothers in the 80's and records the excess and power which a small group of men had but most importantly the mega money they  made trading. When i was at Uni all those who wanted to  a trader  would spend many hours devouring the above book to   to learn everything they thought they needed to know to make it as a trader.Trading on the  finanical markets is just like playing poker if you can keep your head when everyone around is losing yours you can make loads of money.

  Just downloaded the album by Bon Iver 'For Emma Forvever (great title)  and i love it .He is touring around the UK soon but unfortunaltely i won't get to see him as i am away so i will have to console myself with listening to him on my ipod instead.

  There seems to be a problem witht the link for the 'Great DJ' it doesn't work so i have added another song by 'The Tings Tings' called That's not my name'. The show they are performing on is called Later with Jools Holland.
