The winner of the annual Mercury Music Prize was announced  in London last night and surprise winners were Elbow with their album 'Seldom Seen Kid'. The competition was hard with such artists as Estelle, Adele,Laura Marling,British Sea Power, Neon Neon, Burial, The Last Shadow Puppets, Plant and Krauss, Radiohead, Rachel Unthank and Portico Quartet. Previous winners of the award are Amy Winehouse, Franz Ferdinand, Antony and the Johnsons, Doves and The Verve.

Am a fan of Elbow and i have included one of my favourite Elbow songs Fugative Motel from the album Cast of Thousands.

    Enjoy

I was actually listening to them for the first time when they performed at the movie awards the other night, I really like them, good to hear they won.
