I'm BACK

Home to Sunny Singapore!

Well, the humidity is taking a toll on me. It took me awhile to condition myself to the weather here. As we all know, the monsoon season is here to stay for a month or so. The dodgy weather ain't helpful.

Then again, great food is always a stone-throw away. I'm stuffing myself silly chuckles. This is Life!

Stay tune for more updates.

My 'Tagged' blog

**Nicole, You have been tagged!

Write a blog with these questions and provide Fantabulous Friday answers:

  1. What is the most fantabulous thing that has happened this week?**

The news that I might be heading down to Israel come December. Have a friend whose family's there. It'll be fantabulous.

2. When you are feeling kinda down, what do you do to make yourself feel fantabulous?

Break into song. Everyone has a/or 'happy song(s)' that drones in our mind...Read more

Kinesics- The use of body movement

Vol. 5 June 1, 2007

Here's a fruit-for-thought:

Birdwhistell (1970) states that only 35 percent of meaning comes from verbal part of the message and 65 percent from non-verbal form. Shows the importance of body orientation, posture, gesture, countenance and our eyes. It's vital to animate ourselves when we speak. Then again, there's also the cultural normality aspect to consider.

What drives us?

Vol. 4 May 28, 2007

I'm curious, what motivates people to wake-up to smell the wispy air in the mornings?

On my previous blog, I mentioned 'bt standards. And as I'm cramming for my exams, I came across the definition of 'Values'.

Values: Are long-held beliefs or basic convictions that define an individual's basic standards about what is good and bad, wothwhile and wothless, desirable, true or false, and moral and immoral.

It went on describing the instruments to attain t...Read more

B.Y.S. - If you could see what I see

Vol. 3 May 26, 2007

Herein this massive babel, it's hard not to conform to the pressures the society expects of us. We allow fashion magazines, peer-pressure and, on top-of-it, the media to validate our very existence. So, where does that leave us? Could we safely look at ourselves as what we could achieve, or are we looking at ourselves living with the expectations from the rest of the world. Undoubtedly, there are standards that keep things in order. Another way to look at it, would be the standards to ensur...Read more

The many ways I amuse myself

Vol. 2 May 21, 2007

Australia, well...she has her moments. These are some of the bizarre stuff I observed down-under.

Pic 1: Frankfurter  that's 'Great for Entertaining'.  Or did they mean 'Great  with Entertainment' or 'Great for entertaining guest' ?

Pic 2: I'm at the cross-roads.  Being in my mid-twenties and am a student. Where does it leave me? Ain't I an adult? The railway company actually vetos to prevent students from having seats on public transports.

New York City

 Vol. 1 May 18, 2007

For two consecutive years, I was blessed with the opportunity to head down to New York on Christmas. Manhattan is, by far, the most vibrant city I've ever been to. I know it sounds trite. But, the moment you step foot onto the city, it feels surreal. It's like you've just embark unto a whole new dimension. Think 'Gotham city'. There I had, right in front of me, Times Square, the Empire State Building, Trump towers, Chrysler Building, Grand Central, Rockefeller, CNBC, NBC, Nasdaq, The David Letter...Read more
