    Complaining About Gas Prices?

    Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaCjwPvCCXA&feature=related

One thing that I always observe when I talk with family over the holidays is the outrageous complaints about gas prices.  I always find this a bit humorous because we sit on our butts all day and expect gas to get cheaper, as if gas is a renewable and abundant resource.

There is only one direction that petrol oil will go, ladies and gentleman, that’s up.  I cannot pray that it go up fast enough.  Honestly I am like any one of you in the addiction to oil.  I love the traded products (coffee, chocolate, fish, etc.), but I know that they are only going to get more expensive.  Why do I pray that this wonderful resource known as oil gets more expensive at a faster rate?

Because it isn’t renewable and it is not abundant! If we keep going the way we are going we will be out of oil in only a couple of decades.  So since the price is bound to skyrocket why not shoot it higher to prevent a total catastrophic event (I mean that in the sense of global warming, and a economic catastrophe).

Hypothetically lets say we put oil at oh $10 a gallon, which would mean triple the price (for those who are not in the US).  If we do this now as a tax as opposed to watching the market charge more because we have less, we might just save our inevitable economic and ecologic crisis.  How so? Well we would then use the extra money to fund the mass production of renewable energy resources (solar, wind, bio diesel, etc.).  Yes, I did say the mass production.  We already have quite a bit of technology for most renewable energy technology we just don’t use it.  If we do this we will irradiate the world’s addiction to the most massively used drug on the planet, oil.

What oh what will we do if oil is $10 or worse $20 a gallon! It would affect the economy, people wouldn’t be able to afford big houses 100 miles away from their work, or fly all over the world for a very affordable rate (comparatively)! Start carpooling! Buy low emission or zero emission vehicles! Turn your bloody lights off!  Oh so much to do.  This move will not only ready the massive population for the fate that is near.  It will also prevent economic and ecological catastrophe.

Albert Einstein once said, “You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war.”   Going to war for more oil and keeping low gas prices is merely preparing for war.  If we start taxing oil, and using it to enforce alternative fuel we are preventing war, with the environment!

Just for fun lets give you the hypothetical for what will happen if we don’t do this so called tax that a few presidential candidates (and many other world leaders) intend to enforce.

Our society continues our addiction to oil, consumes like ordinary.  We buy new cars, toys, subsidized food from China.  And by the time 2020 (and that is being very lenient), gas will be completely used up!  Our cars will be stopped in the middle of the roads, gas stations will literally stop pumping gas.  Grocery stores will have no food, because they never bought locally, and total chaos will occur.

Now you might think, come on Harry.  This is unrealistic! That wont happen! You are too extreme!  Am I? it happened in the middle of the 20th century.  Until of course we fought for more oil.  That was just the forewarning, now we can’t fight for more oil, at least not for long.

    What can you do now?

Conserve, don’t buy every bloody thing imported to your country for a holiday gift.  Give what each and every human truly needs, but doesn’t get due to our brainwashing of society, Love.  After all that is what the holiday season is about.  Be creative!

Finally when the time comes.  Don’t think a national leader is Koo Koo when he says he wants to raise the tax on oil.  It’s the only bloody tax that makes any sense (since the federal tax goes to what cause?)

Here is a little debate on the topic, which covers both point of views.  Mind you they don't even cover food etc.

This is an MIT debate if you didn't get it, but the girl representing the anti-gas tax has a very weak argument.  Our country has not done much to lower emissions.   After all our government didn't sign KYOTO (a comment for you babypanda), which shows how much we truly care about the environment.

Funny how this girl talks about how tax is not necessary when the only tax that is truly not necessary is Federal Tax, because we still don't know what Federal Tax pays.  State and sales tax pay for most if not all of the things we "think" our federal tax pays for.

    Enjoy!

It's already almost the end of November.  I guess time does fly when you are having fun.

In the Chinese five element philosophy the Metal element falls in the season of Autumn.  Its funny because I have noticed that this autumn I have really had a huge correlation with the metal element.  One thing that is apparent in this time of year is that it is a time to let go.  This is the time when our attachments leave us.

In nature everything green turns red, orange, and brown.  The season is changing between summer and winter.  With this change fog, rain, and a cool temperature starts to arise.  It is natures time to let go of the life, and ready itself to hibernate.

Thanksgiving draws near and during Thanksgiving (though a very contradictory and hypocritical holiday) we are meant to say what we are thankful for.  There are many things to be grateful for, which is why this season is time to let go of all of the things we have taken for granted.  It is said that when we finally lose what we love most is when we become grateful.  Perhaps this is why there are so many treacherous Thanksgiving/Holiday stories.  But there are many things to be thankful for and many things that we don't really appreciate.

As cheesy as it sounds, it is always good take time to reflect and say thanks to.

A few people I would like to thank:

Jen, for her honesty and for always being there for me and all of the family

Marsh, for your joyous personality, which has gotten me through a rough parting of a best friend.

Chi, for your constant care and generosity and that wonderful cooking you used to do when you took care of me as a child.  Also for helping me not be the only promiscuous member of the family.

My mother, just because she is who she is, and it took her lots of courage to get to where you are.

For my father because he is my father, and though him and I butt heads at times, we both care and love one another very much.

To Stephen for being there for me when I am in need.

To Megan for always talking to me on the phone

Of course a huge thanks to all my other friends who I learn a great deal from.

And finally to all of you who read what I have to say.  Thank you! and please keep reading!

  • Gmother's 90th Bday

    Monday, Nov 12, 2007 11:52PM / Standard Entry

I just recently returned from LA to see my grandmother for her 90th B-day (really it was her 88th, but for some reason everyone was told 90).  Like always my grandmother hasn't changed, even though she says she is old etc.  She has looked the same for my whole life, so I find it humorous when she says she is getting old.  My father also mentioned his "oldness" which he is only pushing 65, and still has the ability to play tennis or go skiing with me.  To me this is pretty good.

Why do we have such a negativity to growing old.  I feel like my whole life, i have defied this negative attitude to age.  I believe people can be truly happy, and vital at an old age.  The Hunza people had people who reported to be over 100 for centuries before western civilization.  I believe the record is 120, but it is not common knowledge.  They have had males reported to be sexually active and have full erectile function at the age of 99 (and that is all that was reported at the time).  So why do we have such a negativity to old age?  In the US we don't even look after our elders any more, we send them to nursing homes.

Being younger isn't an advantage either.  You are constantly reminded of your youth, and questioned if you can do the job right.  This is the battle that I have defied my whole life.  It is my belief that age does not define the level of a person's consciousness.  In our society, we still have people 40, 50, 60, or older lost and unconscious of what life is all about.  The real maturity hits when one understands his/her purpose, and lets go of all the hardships in life.  Not to say we cannot have emotion.  Emotions are like the weather, it is sunny or rainy at any given time.  In reality our age does not really affect our maturity.

So we are either too old or too young.  Is there a perfect age?

I guess we need to get rid of our layers of contradiction and accept people for who they are, and not their age.  The only person that defines themselves as old or mature is themselves, but that doesn't mean that they can't be influenced by others.  So the next time someone says you are old, say I am ____years young!

  • Milk and Almonds

    Saturday, Nov 3, 2007 2:17AM / Standard Entry

Our dumb laws in the US and in particular California, are once again haunting those who are in the know.

In the last week two bills were passed one on raw milk and the other on almonds.

It is not mandatory for all almonds which include those labeled RAW to be pasteurized.  Another bill was passed that banned RAW MILK from all shelves starting 1 January 2008.

This is obscene and it shows how sneaky the government is.

Why yes to unpasteurized RAW almonds? Because all the enzymes and nutrients are in tact.  This is how humans are meant to eat these products.  Roasted, pasteurized, boiled, etc. nuts cannot be digested by the body, and the oils in the nuts have already gone rancid.  This is not just almonds but all nuts.  To say that all nuts have to be pasteurized is ludicrous (and I don't mean the rapper "ludacris").  We are now playing Russian Rulet with people's healths giving them chemically pasteurized shit! WTF

Why yes to RAW milk? Many people don't understand and know the benefits of raw milk.  I'll sum up.  When something is pasteurized all the enzymes are destroyed including the enzyme lactate which is an enzyme that eats lactose.  Half of the population that are lactose-intolerant are really just not drinking the right milk.  Above all raw milk is a food that people can truly benefit from if they are not intolerant to milk (a big part of the population is).  But, the problem is mainly that the milk is pasteurized and not fit for human consumption.  Why oh why did we start pasteurization?  Because we had shitty farmers giving shitty milk feeding their cows slop from the brewery and in turn the milk became toxic.  These shitty farmers are the ones who were the cash crop of America (which is why the food guide pyramid has such a huge milk section).  Really the purpose of drinking milk since we are the only mammals that drink milk far after are infancy is to substitute it for blood.  Yes humans used to drink blood, but in modern times it became uncivilized to drink blood.  Therefore it became necessary for us to drink milk because it is the closest substitute to blood.

I realize that not all people on alive are people that live in California, but a big portion know about those in California, and some even have lived here.  We all need to take action cause our freedoms as citizens and even humans are being taken away from us.

  • Why I Boo Main Stream Politics

    Wednesday, Oct 31, 2007 7:55AM / Standard Entry

First let me say that I like to inflict the positive, but there are times when we must know the negative.  Which is what I would like to express in my blog here today.

Recently I have been exposed to much more news about politics.  Even with out a damn TV I still can't get out of it.  Why TV is BS is because the news is often and, I would go into the extent on some stations to say always, feeds propaganda.  I know you BBC, CNN, and PPS lovers will say otherwise, but it is my opinion that we are brainwashed by our media.  But is it really our media?

Who you should not vote for!
Hillary Clinton will NOT do the US country any good! Not cause she is a woman, believe me if we had a half way decent female candidate, I would vote for him/her/etc.  Of course this is because I truly believe that we need a compassionate leader (especially in today's society).  Females tend to be much more compassionate then males.

Obama? Forget about it! You got to be kidding me if anyone is willing to vote for this corporate whore.  His big campaign is that he will get the troops out of Iraq, but yet when it came down for time for him to vote on taking the troops out he neglected to grace the voting poll with his presence.

These two people are the main democratic candidates, and I have to say they are shitty freaking candidates.  They WON'T make change in the US, and if you want us to be on the border of a nuclear holocaust then vote for them.  You think they will help health care? Nope, guess who pays for Obama and Clinton's candidacy.  You think they will help us think green? why else would they not get us out of the war ASAP.

This shit isn't rocket science, don't believe everything you watch on TV, cause guess who pays TV? The top freaking candidates.  I really mean it when I say that Hillary and Obama are both corporate whores.  They have no freaking backbone.  They would sell all of you off for money if they could.  Now mind you I have only touched on the democratic candidates, thats cause I want to save your brain from having to read the mess that is in that candidacy.  But hey, its not all bad.  I have one Republican I would vote for, Ron Paul and you can read why in a second.

I write these out and this blog out because I really, really believe that we CAN make a difference.  Even if the damn polls are rigged.  Hell, we'll have an independent voting poll and see who the real winner is.  The point is, that we all need to seriously not just get out and vote, but use the substance between both ears to vote.

    Mike Gravel
I have spent a few weeks following Mike, and I have to say that I have no other candidate that I would like to see as president over Gravel.  This guy really wants to fight for the people.  He is as close to Ralph Nader as any of the candidates (and Ralph would have done wonders if he was president).

Why Pro Mike? He supports NO draft.  He supports getting the hell out of the war.  He supports disarming nukes.  He supports public health.  He supports the people, and not his fucking wallet.  Watch the video for more info, and keep watching you tube to find more about Mike.  He is such a treat to the corporations that they wouldn't allow him on MSNBC, how undemocratic!

    Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe_yPDTWGgs

    Ron Paul
Ah yes the only republican I would vote for.  Why? cause I am not anti-republican, but I am anti-BS republican.  Republicans originally had the same morals and values as democrats.  Now the candidates are bible thumping Christians that want to spread Christianity to all parts of the globe, in a version called "democracy."  But not Ron Paul!

He is Pro Home Schooling.  Pro out of the war. Pro life (hey you can't be perfect, he is a republican).  But lets tap on this issue for a moment.  If we would stop using abortion as a form of birth control then I think much less people would have a problem with it.  This guy has morals and he is not afraid to use it.  Again, not funded by Corporate crap!

    Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ay4vXZWxeuU

    Dennis Kucinich

    Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goCq-4ZhDRk

I know what you are thinking, he has a hot wife! Well if you kept up with any of his debates you would know he does have a smoking wife.  Esp. for a potential first lady.  Have you seen Hillary or whatever Bush's wife's name is.  Yuck!  I had to add some humor into this blog somewhere, because to many politics is boring.  Seriously though, this guy has his shit together.

He started his campaign through a grass roots movement! (that means he actually went and talked to people person to person).   I'll admit I haven't done as much research on Dennis, but I can say that I like him.  He is respectable.  I suggest you research it and I will do the same.

    Conclusion
Please, Please, Please do some research.  If you think it doesn't matter, it really does.  If you think you have problems now, imagine what your problems will be if we have a nuclear war, more terrorist attacks etc.  Vote! and when time comes for an independent voting pole, vote with them too.  Spread the word.  This is your future and the worlds future.  Think about your future, be the future.
