男人四十 (July Rhapsody)

I will become 40 next year, I watched the movie of "男人四十" few years ago, and now myself is turning into this perhaps sentimental age. still remember those movie screens and the excellent performance by Jacky Cheung, and gifted Karena Lam, how vividly reflexed the struggle of a man at middleage crisis. I found a movie review on LoveHKFilm, and a Chinese entry on BaiDu:

I found "meet joe movie" scrīpt here: http://www.awesomefilm.com/scrīpt/meetjoeblack.txt the other day, so I watched the movie again at home. The story is simple, the Death took the body of a young man who met a media tycoon's daughter on a cafe and killed by a car when crossing the street, he appeared again in media tycoon's home, planed to take his life, and unplannedly, fell in love with his daughter. Life, death, love, destiny, all big and common words that can make up a great movie, but his time, the movie is presented in a subtle and elegant way that compared to similar films, it brings up the questions in real life, what to appreciate, what to give up, what to cheer for, what to share with...

It's been sometime since I had some serious reading last time. I pick up <À la recherche du temps perdu> from time to time, to taste a trace of lost time and memory, my childhood, my grandma, there are so much I loved in my life that I had lost before I could appreciate, and my dear father this time. Time never heals, it just paralyzes.
