My buddy Martin called me and we had few words, told me he is on his way to airport, and would take a flight to Malmo from Heathrow, and after spending a slight longer than normal weekend, he has to go to his job in London, both his wife and himself got a nice job and don't want to give up, and now his wife is pregnant, and they start to think serious where to settle down their home, but since Sweden's got one year paid maternity leave, so they should have long enough time to think this over. Martin is just one of my commuter friends I know of, among others, there is also an Irish traveling from Dublin to my company in Brussels very weekend, good he's got Ryran air to offer him is really cheap air ticket, another Londoner commuting the same way, but easy jet seems to be more expensive, and another from London to Milano, since he's got an Italian girlfriend there. Myself I used to travel from Zurich to Brussels, by night-train, by car, and by airplane of Virgin Express, they stopped their direct flight of 80 SFr 5 months after I took my flight, Belgium's Sabena was down with SwissAir at that moment, and left no other direct flight between Zurich and Brussels, and I gave up after few times of train-then-flight from Geneva to Brussels, and started 9 hours driving back to Belgium. 9 hours is bit long to do very week, but later on I know someone drove from London to Brussels via Eurotunnel (I think his car was loaded on Eurostar), guess I'd better not to show off as a die-hard commuter.
I am a big fan of Irish River Dance, I just came across the ticket link that says they are comeming to Taiwan, but it seems to be led by Michael Flately, of his "Feet of Flames" group. I used to attend their Swiss show back in 2002-2003 in Zurich, I remember the ticket price started from 200 SFr. I have some collection of River Dance music CD and DVD, including their big hit in Radiocity, NYC.
- Riverdance Choir - Home And The Heartland -
From high in the sky Through the clouds and rain Every familiar field Seems like an old friend When every hand that you shake Is like a warm embrace Could only be one sweet place Home and the Heartland Sing out your songs and Ring out your stories and rhymes Weave from your dreams those mystical Dances that lead us to bind in heart and mind As we circle the world With our wandering airs Gathering here and there Leaving behind our share Like the leaves in the wind They are blown along Each melody rising from Home and the Heartland

in silence, I look at your eyes and say, no... I want to go back to my old place I want to go back to my old road and now I realize I can't leave you anymore, my girl
I am back to my old place I am back to my old road and now I know I can't leave you anymore, my girl
I went to Warner Viewshow for a movie this afternoon, on my way to the cinema, I saw a group of students holding some "free hugs" slogan, and passing to me, couple of them gave me a hug, and I said to them thanks, and to one of the girl, I said "you just gave hug to a mainlander from China", and she was supprised. :-) Hope people acorss the strait an hug each other soon.
Well, as for the wording of "free hug", I think it should be better to put it as "hug me", because "free hug" somehow infers that there might be "non-free hugs" ...
stuck at home because of the typhoon, this is the 3rd time to encounter typhoon after i came here, or more? the first time i almost had to delay my flight, praise the Lord, the airplane took off on time eventually, the second time was not bad, since we had extra typhoon day off, not sure if still need to go to office on Monday this time though.
this is by far the most typhoons i experience in my life in such short time, impressed.
