I've been looking for a job for almost 9 years. In that time, I've lost my apartment, most - if not all - of my clothing, my personal car, and probably any real hope of having a decent sort of personal life. I really have to blame myself for allowing others - who were SUPPOSED to have my best interests at heart - to take over and direct my job search for me. (After all, they were - and are - a governmental agency tasked with doing just that.
Now I found out that there was job search and relocation assistance available but I didn't know that because the WSR at the agency failed to inform me of all the choices I had - and I didn't know enough at the time to ask the RIGHT questions.
