    Hong Kong Street Art Collective Exhibition

    港嘢 : 這一詞很玄，跟品味藝術一樣，有人聽後會心微笑，有人百思仍是不得其解。「港嘢」這其實是地道的粵語。港，指香港，粵語「港」跟「講」的發音幾近是一致的。嘢，粵語文字，指東西的意思。「港嘢」顧名思義是指香港的東西，但就發音而言亦有說話的意思。

    香港是中國的其一個城市，但由於香港複雜的歷史背景，使得香港跟中國內地無是環境、思想、文化都存有一定的差異。言論自由使得香港這彈丸之地充滿活力，擁有強烈獨立思想的香港人勇於表達自己，這現象也反映在香港的大街小巷上，而且承受著西方文化的衝擊，香港的街頭藝術也得以茁壯成長。深圳在中港溝通上扮演著重要的角色，要將香港的街頭藝術世界與中國內地接軌，在深圳這座極具包容性的城市似乎是必然的選擇。

    街頭藝術並沒有被列為正統的當代藝術，但正正是這種感覺親民、觸手可及的特質，作品更易被一般大眾所能消化和理解，所以街頭藝術近年也漸漸受到關注。街頭藝術講求的並非單純視覺上的美學，作品背後的概念或是表達的訊息才是它的精髓。今次的展覽試圖展現香港獨特的街頭藝術，由一眾香港獨當一面的街頭藝術家擔綱 。Graphic Airlines是一個多媒體藝術創作組合，善於利用簡單的線條，形象鮮明的角色，道出一些社會現象及自己的觀點。Start from Zero乃香港極為活躍的Stencil街頭藝術組織，除了模版塗鴉外，貼紙、海報等也被他們作為對社會控訴的利器。Mic是香港塗鴉的奇葩，塗鴉風格多以”超現實形態抽象” 為表達方式，近期則積極於實驗性藝術。是次展覽唯一非華裔藝術家3 (THREE) ，長年生活於香港的他喜歡利用環境裝置表達他對這座城市的感覺。

    展覽所表現的並非單純的傳統街頭繪畫藝術，也特意把充滿張力的一些雕塑和裝置藝術一拼引入。為增加展覽的延伸性，隨場刊將付上香港地圖一張,，地圖上會出現一些記號，這些記號分別是今次參展藝術家們在香港街頭的一些作品分佈，這些地方可能是聞所未聞，也可能是耳熟能詳，烏煙瘴氣的石屎森林中，手執這奇妙的地圖，重新遊歷「香港地」，發現森林中倖存的小野花。

    觀賞「港嘢」，消化「港嘢」，這不單是個過程，更是體驗香港、中國另類新銳藝術的一個機遇。街頭藝術創作將不停延續下去，「港嘢」亦以不同的形式繼續散播，勢不可擋的力量令這永不落幕的展覽一幕緊接一幕。只要細心留意身邊事物，偉大的藝術品隨時就在熟悉的街角。

    We want to demonstrate the special street culture of Hong Kong by this exhibition featuring some topping street artists from Hong Kong. Graphic Airlines are engaged themselves in multimedia art creation and they are strong in utilizing simple lines and individualized figures to tell some social phenomena and their opinions to these phenomena. Start from Zero is a very active street art team, in addition to stencil, sticking paper and poster are also their good weapons to explain their complaint to the community. MIC is a wizard at graffiti in Hong Kong, superrealism abstraction is their favorite expression, and recently they have been being energetic in experimental art. Three is the only non-Chinese artist for this exhibition, and he likes conveying his feeling about Hong Kong where he lives throughout the year by environmental installation.
    To make this exhibition more extensible, we would like to enclose a Hong Kong map together with a catalogue. There will be some marks on that map showing the distribution of works of the above mentioned artists in Hong Kong.
