• Kicking ass & spitting blood...in BLOODTRAFFICK

   'BLOODTRAFFICK'
  
  
  This is a project that I'm really proud to present to everyone. Set in a world torn by a war between vampires and angels, Bloodtraffick features the human vigilante Ava, played by me, pitted against the vampire Finn, played by Kirt Kishita. 
  
  
  
  The short is directed by our very own award-nominated American director Jennifer Thym, produced by Desmond So, and features Hong Kong action star Philip Ng as our action director and stunt choreographer. 
  
  
  
  As the short film is making the successful rounds of entry to all the different film festivals around the world, the rules forbid us to post anything online to share/show. I can only show some of the pictures from the set for now...
  
  
  
  I want to thank every single person that has helped on this project. Most of them are here on Alive Not Dead, and thank you Alive Not Dead for providing a platform where us artists can find/connect/work with each other.
  
  Filming under a small budget, everyone involved worked themselves pretty much without sleep for 4 days up to a week for BLOODTRAFFICK. What the heck for??? On projects like these, it ain't the paycheck. Everyone worked because they saw an opportunity to create something amazing. The love of our craft, dedication to a common goal...getting our best collective efforts on film. On this project, each individual put 1000% into their respective roles...so even when shooting it, I knew that BLOODTRAFFICK would be something all of us would be proud of.
  
  
  
  I enjoyed this project very much not only because the team was amazingly professional and great to work with. The passion for the job was so evident in everybody, it made all the pain and sleepless nights worth it.
  
  I also loved being able to train with Philip Ng, flex and show what I had in me action-wise and show a side of me that would surprise many. Coming from a modeling background, it's a constant battle to break the stereotype that we can't act nor look anything but 'pretty'. BLOODTRAFFICK was the place that let me break both of those stereotypes with a huge bang.
  
  
  
  
  
  Since I talked about entering film festivals, I have good news to share! BLOODTRAFFICK will have it's worldwide premiere at Gen Con Indy Film Festival on August 5th, the biggest gaming convention in the world. Last year over 30,000 people went!!! We're also showing at the 7th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival in Hollywood on August 11-18th 2011, so really stoked about that. So stoked that I will be making a visit to L.A. to support our film at the HollyShorts Film Festival~!!!! CANNOT wait!
  
  We're getting acceptances into festival screenings everyday (but I can't announce some of them yet!) so I'm just so proud to see the results of all our hard work.
