  • Summertime in the City

I'm in such a good mood today! Woke up smelling the scents of summer and it's just the right temperature...enough for me to declare the beginning of Grace's wakeboard season 2008! Summer always gets me buzzin because Sydney summers are so awesome. Bare legs and flip-flops...women r sexier in summer and guys are more chill. Days of hangin out at the beach, cafe dining and delicious fresh seafood. And of course...the BBQs!!! I constantly look forward to my trips back home to load up on all things Sydney that can not be found elsewhere. Right now, I'm trying to find places for good meat pies, Sydney sized kebabs and more importantly, authentic Vietnamese pork rolls! I've tried some here but non so far have made the grade...They must use pate! and at least 3 different types of meats...Any suggestions? An aerial view of Sydney. Look closely and you'll see Harbour Bridge in the middle of the picture! Beautiful sunset at Watson Bay. Sydney makes the best Ice Coffee with whipped cream on top! On the go, I get the OAK! Giant Lobster...my fav! Oh yeahhh! Oysters and sashimi...bring it ON! Where are you, my perfect HK Vietnamese bread?

haha Come back for a spin matey! You're missing out on some really good stuff! Tony Roma Ribs and Steak is a must try (better than the ones at Pancakes), went to Beluga Restaurant and Bar over at Potts Point the other night...the lobster crepe, the seafood - absolute perfection!

And those chiko rolls...mate, they stood there looking at me dumbfounded. I decided to change my order to "Do you have potato pies?" - even worse! I heard the girls behind the counter whisper in cantonese "I think he means pizza" - haha no way! Its a lost cause mate haha but if you do find decent pies and kebabs, please let me know so I won't look like a fool next time in HK...(Pizza?....)

hey peeps, thanks for dropping by!
Sorry for the confusion! I was just reminencing about the aesome things about Sydney, I didn't get to go back yet!

The food there is truely awesome!!! Love the marbled short ribs at Pancakes, the ice coffees, the seafood at the fish market, the pies and CHIKO rolls! hahaa!!!! ButtNekkid, you're so funny asking for that in HK! Priceless the confused looks on their faces, i bet!

Sydney is really a MUST for travel. People are so friendly there and most importantly, CHILL

Sydney looks like fun.  That's cool you got to do the cold weather in Japan and summer weather on the beach so fast.

Haha feel like having a Four'N'Twenty now! I doubt there's quality meat pies and solid sized kebabs over there mate. I made the mistake of asking if they sold 'Chiko rolls' once - they didn't have a bloody clue!

Sydney is soooo awesome. We went there for our honeymoon. We loved it. We stayed across from Hyde Park and saw bats hanging from the trees at night. Now, that's first for us!!!

Never been to Sydney...looks like it's a fun place to be! Heard there's a huge ABC (Australian Born Chinese) community there.
