His latest film, “The Trouble With Romance”, was released simultaneously in limited theatrical release and nationwide via On-Demand digital cable, iTunes and Amazon VOD. Gene supervised and secured the financing for the movie and oversaw all aspects of its production.

As a screenwriter, Gene has sold or optioned projects to Dreamworks Animation, pop icon Madonna’s Maverick Films, and Hallmark Entertainment among others. He is also developing a TV pilot with director Justin Lin (“Fast & Furious”).
Gene graduated at the top of his class with an M.F.A. from U.S.C. film school’s renowned Peter Stark Program. He began his film career working at 20th Century Fox in the physical production department, and also worked as a Story Editor for Mace Neufeld (producer of “The Hunt For Red October”, “Patriot Games”, “Clear and Present Danger”).
Gene was also a K.O.F.I.C. Filmmaker Development Lab Fellow and is an alum of IFP New York’s Emerging Narratives Program.
