  • the stepfather vs. the orphan

    last sunday, after watching THE WIGGLES LIVE (which i'll be writing in a separate blog), i went to see a movie with a friend...never heard about it before but then we're searching what's showing, we saw THE STEPFATHER listed on top 10 this week...
    so we went to see it....





    we've read the plot on the net & it says everything but it's the thrilling part that gets us going...geees!! now that makes me even firmer with my conviction never to believe those who speak sooo well..hmmm no offense meant to those who knows how to handle a good conversation but i'm really a bit (or a lot)  paranoid with sweet talkers..cause they surely know what to say..& make you believe they're true...hmmm another thing i consider - - "if it's too good to be true, then it's never true at all..."

    the story's flow is actually like THE ORPHAN





    the main similarity between the 2 is when they wanted something & didn't get it, they kill...David (the stepfather) wants a perfect family & when sees that things are getting wrong & not according to his will, then he kills the family & move on to find another....Esther (the orphan) has a hormone disorder that makes her look young but in fact she's already 33 years old...everytime she gets adopted, she's luring the father & when she didn't get what she wants, she kills them...

    both are thrilling enough if you're up to some screaming!!!

    the cinema where we watched THE STEPFATHER has 26auditoriums & when we get inside, there were only 2 people inside to watch the film..hmmmm & 2 more came in after us..we were wondering how do these cinema pay the bills if not much people are watching...considering for example playing a 2hr movie for just 6 audience...hmmmm

    hmm those scary movies surely make pound in the theather. but looks interesting. to go or not to go~ thaks for the info on Halloween season films. haha

    yenc: is it CSI?not really watching series...not so familiear with them.. =)

    jane: it;s not really creepy!the thrill is on the...maybe last 15mins. & at the end of it, i blurted out a loud AIYAHHHHHHHH!!! cause the killer's still alive & got another victim!! *hmph*

    yea, I saw the preview of "Stepfather" in the theatre and it freaked me out! haha... no thanks!

    hhmmm do have some shadow overlapping in each of the movie... i also felt The step father got some similar plot like the .... what is the series... can't recall in a sudden.... is about a forensic serial killer who specialize in blood splatter.... did it ring ya bell? i still can't get the name out...
