HYPNOTIZING CHICKS - MAX PAYNE VIDEO

I discovered a few days ago a pretty cool band called Hypnotizing Chicks during a punk / post punk night in Paris (at a bar named l'Amsterdam) where four other bands played as well: two that I knew (and filmed) before, Louis Lingg and the Bombs and Ypérite, and two that I saw and heard like the Hypno Chicks for the first time, Crimson Muddle and Fatale Monstrum.

Here are some photos of the Hypnotizing Chicks that I took before and after their gig...

"May Payne" was the first song that they played that night. During this gig, I almost got my video camera broken several time by the crazy audience jumping and pushing around. Enjoy.

"GALLANTS": BEST MOVIE AT THE HONG KONG FILM AWARDS 2011!

I'm soooo happy that a 'real' Hong Kong movie, "Gallants" won the Best Movie Award!!! It proves that quality is a not a matter of budget but talent and love of cinema. Congrats to directors Derek Kwok & Clement Cheng and the whole team. And congrats to Susan Shaw (Best Supporting Actress), Teddy Robin (Best Supporting Actor) & Tommy Wai (Best Music with Teddy Robin).

VIDEO: SITGES & THE SERBIAN FILM SITUATION

Between March 21^st-24^th, 2011, at the Hong Kong Convention And Exhibition Centre (Wanchai), I interviewed for my article and video report several film related people (producers, directors, actors, festival directors, buyers, salers etc…) about the FILMART (a.k.a. Hong Kong International Film & TV Market). Mike Hostench, deputy festival director and programmer of the Sitges Film Festival was one of them. Frederic Ambroisine is a Hong Kong cinema expert and documentary director who has made over 140 DVD bonus features for film distribution companies in France, the UK, the USA and Germany. Born in France, his passion and knowledge of Asian cinema led him to become a regular writer since 2002 for the French magazines Kumite, Asia Pulp and Mad Asia. He is an artistic consultant, writer and director of DVD extra features for Wild Side Film’s 100+ DVD/Blu-Ray collection “Shaw Brothers – Les Essentiels”. Fredederic visits Hong Kong annually and has interviewed hundreds of cinema industry personalities over the years. Many of his interviews and extra features have appeared on dvds/blu-rays from CTV International, Pathé Distribution, Des Films, StudioCanal, BQHL, One Plus One, Eureka Entertainment, Image Entertainment, Koch Media, Anolis, Tiberius Film and Galileo Medien Ag. His feature-length documentary “Fica: From the Near East to the Far East” was screened in 2010 at the Vesoul International Asian Film Festival.
