Happy New Year!

Hope you all are well and had a wonderful christmas and new years!

Speak Up! is back for 2009. And to help ring in the new year, E.V.E.N.T. is helping launch DigiDude by COUNTERF!T.

This Month we are along with FREE DIGIDUDE GIVEAWAYS ALL NIGHT, we will have special guest performances by world renowned DJ Forest, Arne Venema, and never before seen LIVE art performance by Foon!

This is going to be an exciting year for our company as we will be launching our website, filming and screening an artist music video, hosting our next BIG 'Sensory' event,starting a new representation for artists, hosting more Speak ups!,Grounded and many many more events!

Hi all,

Wow! What can we say. Thank you to all the artists and supporters who attended the last Speak up! of "08". We had another fantastic turn out and the line up was HOT! Thank you Arne Venema, Preston Lau and every other act from 2008. It has been a spectacular year.

e.v.e.n.t's Creative Director Roger De Leon (Re:Flex) and producer Kate Sullivan said a special thank you to our main sponsors and supporters: Alive Not Dead, Elden Cheung, Anniewho, Winnie Lam (Philia Lounge) and Robert Rogers. Since we co-founded the company in April '08 we have hosted, sponsored and supported 18 events in Hong Kong.

We introduced our biggest success story of the year, CB FRESH who met at our 2nd Speak Up! and have been working together ever since. They showed us some of their TV series, commercial, and their newly released E True Hong Kong Story. Absolutly amazing! And hilariously funny! Sadly, it was Simon Yin's last night in HK for a while as he has just jet off to glamorous LA for pilot season. Good luck buddy and we will miss you!

We later showed the trailer for the film "The Other End of the Gun" Directed by Patrice Poujol and starring your friends, Kate Sullivan and Roger De Leon. We were proud to share this with everyone and look forward to the final cut. Derrick Fong was our DP!

Our next big event is our Old School Hip Hop night this Saturday at Philia Lounge. Make sure you check out the AnD event invite and get on down. We have a slick line up and some live beat boxing & MC's. Ladies drink free Cosmopolitans from 10pm-11pm. Woop!

The last Speak up! of the year!!!!!!!!

e.v.e.n.t is hosting its 7th artist's SPEAK UP! in HK next Wednesday night.

This Month we are showcasing the BEST OF E.V.E.N.T. with special guest performances by CB Fresh, Arne Venema, Preston Lau ,surprise guests and much more!

If you have still not experienced a slice of the arts and a night in HK to EXPRESS your ideas , listen and watch wonderful artists , PROMOTE any up and coming events, acts , launches or parties OR just to NETWORK with like minded people...then get down to Philia lounge this Wednesday night, Dec 3rd.

EVENT is the brainchild of co-creators Roger De Leon and Kate Sullivan who have founded a company as an international and creative hub for artists, designers, musicians, dancers and filmmakers to showcase a broad spectrum of untapped talent. EVENT strives to bring all types of creative media to the masses in its pure and original form.

Amidst the hustle that makes up Hong Kong, this city, and many like it are at the verge of losing the very artistry and creativity that makes it great. E.V.E.N.T.’s goal is to showcase both international and local artists through all available forms of media, in an attempt to salvage and revitalize all genres of existing and budding talent, and bring this to the masses.

E.V.E.N.T. arranges all aspects of a production from bookings to presentations. Along with showcasing talent, EVENT encourages companies to get involved in the arts and use this to help promote their enterprise. Our expertise spans several industries and caters to corporate, entertainment and personal events. We give businesses, artists and private organizations the opportunity to promote themselves through which ever medium they see fit.

E.V.E.N.T. holds LIVE forums each month called SPEAK UP! that allow creative minds from various backgrounds, to come together to workshop ideas network and perform; all in the search for new and budding talent.

E.V.E.N.T. also holds a Hip Hop showcase in Hong Kong called GROUNDED. This event showcases Hip Hop, past present and future, bringing in DJs from all over the city and abroad to play Old School, Funk, Breaks, Bmore and Underground Hip Hop.

Every few months, E.V.E.N.T. hosts themed events, allowing artists from similar backgrounds to be showcased and grow from each other’s knowledge. These events benefit the artists involved, by allowing them the recognition they deserve.

With the growing number of artists that join our community, E.V.E.N.T. also gives the opportunity to teach their talents through classes and seminars. Production space is available through the E.V.E.N.T. office for artists to arrange group sessions or one on one classes to help others improve or learn new talents. In addition to individual classes, E.V.E.N.T. artists venture into schools to share with students, the tools necessary to be successful in a creative medium. Through performances, practical workshops, individual and group teachings, artists use their expertise and real world experience to show students all the possibilities that lie ahead of them.

Serving as an artist’s agency, E.V.E.N.T. gives representation to those in the arts scene as well as allows companies searching for talent an extensive database to find international and local acts.

E.V.E.N.T. engages audiences, stimulates new ideas and enriches the ‘art culture’ within the community. Event will continue to grow and work close with artists, stimulating minds and embracing visions.
